SATURDAY MORNING AT THE BIRD FEEDER - A VISITOR!

The Froggies cousin was visiting from across the other side of the pond. No, not THAT big pond, the one at the garden. He hitched a ride home in the pocket of the mister of the house and hopped down onto the bird feeder as soon as he could.
The froggies, at the pond couldn't be seen but were heard. They were very noisy and very chirpy to have such nice weather. Froggy 4 decided to join his cousins for a few hours. He recognized the mister as he liked to read blogs and saw his picture one day. That's how he knew whose pocket to jump into.
He was still very noisy and monopolized the conversation, but they didn't mind. Everyone was very happy to have him visit. Out came the best China, the kettle was put on and the teapot was filled with their favorite brew. They had endless cuppas and scones, but someone forgot to buy the clotted cream and jam. No clotted cream and jam for the scones? The horror! That's okay, Cappy the Catbird was very happy to be invited.
The Robins came by later when all was quiet and they missed the party, but there was always a kettle to put on.
Out came the favorite brew from the cupboard, more happy talking took place. The sun was going down by the time they left. They had a long journey to get back to that fourth tree on the right, at least in Robin steps.

That's how it goes at this week's Saturday Morning at the Bird Feeder.

Thanks for flying in and
hope your wings aren't too tired.

  7. Our frogs are silent waiting for some moisture to wake them from their slumber so they can once again fill the night with their calls.

    1. Ah now, I'm going to send you a link Sandie. It will give you all the information on clotted cream. This is something that I only when we went on holidays down to Devonshire before my family actually moved there, and only then an occasional treat. The link is below.

  14. Thursday a yellow bellied sap sucker struck our slider door. Granddaughter #1 was here for home school day with Nana. She was very concerned and wanted to do something for it. I told her no so she kept a watch on it for the next hour despite having school work to do. Sure enough it raised its head then drew in its wings and after the hour was up flew away when granddaughter wasn't looking.
This morning I'm sure the same bird hit the storm door on the other side of the house. Daughter Emily as just about to leave. She ID it and it was a sapsucker. Looked like the same one. It wasn't as stunned this time and flew when Emily opened the door.

  15. No clotted cream and jam for the scones? Goodness! That is indeed shocking!

Once again well done on a very enjoyable Saturday at the Bird Feeder post ... lovely to see the robins, your American ones are larger than our Eurasian ones.

    All the best Jan

PS If Chatty Crone should read my comment, there is more about clotted cream here

Thank you so for taking the time to leave a comment. I enjoy reading them very much and always try to return a visit. As I do monitor comments it may take a while for them to appear, even quite late depending on what is going on and how much time I am able to spend on the computer.

I appreciate all who look at my blog, but I will not be publishing any businesses. If you are only able to publish anonymously, would you sign your name, and leave an addy so I can return your visit where possible? Thank you!
