RANDOM PHOTO - SOMEWHERE IN FLORIDA

Only one photo today and from the archives. An old photo from Florida taken in January 2014. The one thing that struck me on my visit there, was just how tropical the place was/is. Everywhere was so lush and green.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

  5. The very southern part around The Keys does classify as genuinely tropical — according to my distant memories of climate classification maps.

  7. its a beautiful photo and we are not as lush as we were back then. this looks similar to Selby Gardens here, or Jungle Gardens and now I wonder if the drought has changed them. they are only 10 miles away but have not been there in years, since before the drought started

    1. I forget which garden this was but if I can remember to look for it, I will let you know. I am sorry this drought has changed them. Thanks Sandra :)

  14. Florida really does have that lush, almost dreamy feel to it. Even older photos seem to hold onto that warmth and brightness. I love how one single image can instantly bring back the atmosphere of a place. January 2014 feels like yesterday and a lifetime ago at the same time.

Thanks for sharing a little piece of your archive. It’s always nice revisiting places through someone else’s lens.

  17. A pretty picture of Florida. Although I wouldn't want to live there, as I heard it gets pretty warm, and not sure if they get all four seasons like we do here in California. So, I'll stick to my delightful state. ; )

    1. Hi Sheri, thank you and yes it gets very warm down there. I think we will have to ask our Florida friends to answer that one. I have been there in January and it's been very warm, I have also been later in the spring. I wonder if it's changing ever so slowly though :)
