Only one photo today and from the archives. An old photo from Florida taken in January 2014. The one thing that struck me on my visit there, was just how tropical the place was/is. Everywhere was so lush and green.
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

I love the combination of the old bell and the rich green leaves of the plant!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed it too, than you Ginny :)
DeleteThe bell sets the photo off against the palms, Denise. Very nice composition.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words Margaret, much appreciated :)
DeleteWhat a wonderful photo. I've never been to Florida.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ann, let’s get in the car, we can go visit MadSnapper, lol!
DeleteA beautiful photo!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day! hugs Elke
Thank you Elke, and you have a nice day too :) hugs, Denise
DeleteThe very southern part around The Keys does classify as genuinely tropical — according to my distant memories of climate classification maps.
ReplyDeleteI remember that but also remember being surprised when I saw it for the first time :) traveling can be an interesting education.
DeleteBeautiful greenery and a lovely photo Denise! Take care, enjoy your day and have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you Eileen. I have just visited your latest Saturday wildlife photos. Extremely enjoyable as always :) Have a wonderful Friday and weekend.
Deleteits a beautiful photo and we are not as lush as we were back then. this looks similar to Selby Gardens here, or Jungle Gardens and now I wonder if the drought has changed them. they are only 10 miles away but have not been there in years, since before the drought started
ReplyDeleteI forget which garden this was but if I can remember to look for it, I will let you know. I am sorry this drought has changed them. Thanks Sandra :)
DeleteThat is beautiful - so lush. I love the bell. Did you ring it?
ReplyDeleteThanks Janice and no I didn’t ring it, should have but didn’t :)
DeleteYou have great photos in the archive. Happy Friday. Love you friend. Thank you for your unwavering support.
ReplyDeleteThank you Regine. I do have fun looking through them and sharing. Love you too friend and you will always have it :)

DeleteWhat a gorgeous and GREEN plant.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you liked it Sandie, thank you :)
DeleteThat is a great representative photo of the lushness of Florida! Happy day to you.
ReplyDeleteI should send it to their travel board maybe, lol! Thanks Ellen and a happy day to you too.
DeleteFlorida really does have that lush, almost dreamy feel to it. Even older photos seem to hold onto that warmth and brightness. I love how one single image can instantly bring back the atmosphere of a place. January 2014 feels like yesterday and a lifetime ago at the same time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing a little piece of your archive. It’s always nice revisiting places through someone else’s lens.
I just shared the first post for the Movement Link-Up and you can start entering from today:

DeleteLately I've been hearing a lot about Florida, specifically Miami, and what a wonderful place it is to live.
ReplyDeleteI have heard the same thing Karen :)
DeleteThat plant is lovely and green.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday Wishes.
All the best Jan
It certainly is :) Thank you Jan, I wish you the same. All the best to you too, Denise
DeleteA pretty picture of Florida. Although I wouldn't want to live there, as I heard it gets pretty warm, and not sure if they get all four seasons like we do here in California. So, I'll stick to my delightful state. ; )
ReplyDeleteHi Sheri, thank you and yes it gets very warm down there. I think we will have to ask our Florida friends to answer that one. I have been there in January and it's been very warm, I have also been later in the spring. I wonder if it's changing ever so slowly though :)
DeleteI like the contrast between the bell and the plant.
ReplyDeleteThank you Beverley, I remember thinking how very much I liked that too :)
