SATURDAY MORNING AT THE BIRD FEEDER - THE MOAN OF CROWS

The Mourning Doves were very polite and didn't groan. I am happy they are visiting still.
After being largely absent for many months, this little chipmunk turned up.
There's hope yet, so did the House Finch. Not a very good photo but it will help the old memory box.

That’s all she’s got for this Saturday Morning at the Bird Feeder.

The birds are slowly coming back.

Have a great weekend everyone,
and thanks for visiting

1st photo:

“She needs to pick her leaves out of the water. I’m tired of them.”

2nd Photo:

“Which reminds me. What do trees say every year? I’m ready to turn over a new leaf.”
"And they all fell in the water dish."
“Oh boy!”

  9. Our mourning doves are all gone, not to be seen until probably April, maybe March if we are lucky.

  11. Golly gee the crows are picky picky...several years ago I had a time with them 'washing their road kill' in my birdbath. I had no idea they 'washed road kill' too funny they don't like leaves in the fountain. TOL TOL to each his own

  12. I saw a pair of cardinals this week and some tufted titmouse [or should that be titmice?]. I hung the suet feeder back up. We did find it in the grass and suet block was in a garden bed - discovered yesterday.

    1. You know, I’ve never thought what’s correct. I should look that up as you have peaked my curiosity. I am looking forward to seeing each bird. I should buy a suet block. Thanks for the reminder Marcia :) smiling at you discovering it in your garden bed. I remember a couple of bird feeders disappearing, never to be seen again. I was thinking raccoons!

  15. What a peaceful start to the weekend, spending the morning at the bird feeder. It's those simple, consistent joys, like seeing the Mourning Doves, that really make a Saturday special. It must be lovely to see the chipmunk return after such a long absence. They always add such frantic energy to the quiet scene. And I'm glad the House Finch also made an appearance to fill up your "old memory box," as you say. It is encouraging to hear that the birds are slowly coming back. Hopefully, you'll see a lot more visitors as the weather changes. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend.
