They do have lovely faces - and beautiful eyes.
They do don't they LC :)
They look such gentle animals. I'd like to see one close up.
I was lucky this day and I wasn't that close but did have my camera with the zoom lens. Sometimes you just get lucky :)
they are so sweet, we watched a movie last night that had many sweet faces like this in it. it is called Druid's Peak, a really good movie. a family movie.
I will check the movie out, thanks Sandra :)

ooh denise, i love them too - these close ups are beautiful!!!
Thank you Debbie :)
Aww! We have deer behind our house daily--sometimes as many as 12-15. But they're SO hard to photograph, so I know how talented you are to have captured such detail and beauty.
How wonderful Stephanie, I usually have to travel a bit to see them. Thank you for the kind comments. I believe I took these photos up at Big Meadows along Skyline Drive. They are pretty used to people thankfully, that helped a lot.
Denise, nice facial captures. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Doug :)
Very sweet faces....
I agree LC :)
Precious most definitely, thanks Silver Willow :)
Awwww....I love deer, Denise, and the last photo...it looks as if the deer has tears in his eyes! This is such a heartwarming, beautiful post. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you for the kind comments Linda :)
So beautiful! They look so different than the mule deer...of course I am more used to seeing the white-tailed myself. You got some great shots!
The mule deer have those big ears don't they? Loved seeing them for the first time when I went traveling out that way a few years ago. Thank you Marie :)
They're such graceful critters!
Hi William, a good description, I've always thought of them as graceful.
So sweet! And I thought that before I even read your title! Your pictures are so sharp and beautiful. And I looks like they are standing right in front of you!
Thank you Ginny, they are quite used to people but I wasn't that close as I had a zoom lens and was standing a little ways off.
We all love Bambi.
Yes we do Gigi :)
I love deer. They are hard to spot in the popular areas though.
Well camouflaged :)
Thank you Pam, they are.
They have the sweetest faces...I love their eyes.
We think alike Rose :)
