COME SAID THE WIND TO THE LEAVES...

Come said the wind to the
leaves one day,
Come o'er the meadows and
we will play.
Put on your dresses
Scarlet and Gold,
for summer is gone and
the days grow cold.

The Wind and the Leaves
by
George Cooper (1840-1927)

Grateful thanks to Iowa Corn Dog for giving me the correct author of this delightful poem.  Much appreciate any help I am given by blogging friends.
