Walking along a wooded trail way back when, I noticed a leaf in mid-air. On closer inspection I saw it had been caught in a spider’s web on its way down. The web was stretched between two trees. Aren’t they amazing these tiny architects of nature? My plant app says the leaf is from a Sweetgum tree.
Have a great day everyone
and thanks for visiting.

I am always fascinated by these works of art—these webs—and by how strong the threads are and how large they can be, especially when wind and rain come along. A great photo!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day! Hugs, Elke
Thank you Elke. I wonder the same things, they truly amaze me those webs :) You have a wonderful day also. Hugs, Denise
DeleteWhat a beautiful shot of this spider web... I love their webs but only in pictures :))
ReplyDeleteA midweek hug for you, Andreja!
Thank you Andreja, much appreciated! I like looking at them outside too but most definitely do not enjoy being surprised when walking through one, haha or not so hahaha :)
DeleteYes lovely photo. Spider webs are amazing structures and awful to walk into.
ReplyDeleteExactly, agree with you 100 percent Diane and so glad you liked the photo :)
DeleteThank goodness it wasn't a spider. Since I'm on my way to bed, I would have really had nightmares!
ReplyDeleteI think the spider was safely tucked in his bed until nighttime :) No, wouldn't want you to have nightmares.
DeleteBeautiful Denise, and taken so well.
ReplyDeleteThank you Margaret, much appreciated :)
DeleteIt must be a vegan spider
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laugh Ruby Rose and the Big Little Angels 3 :)
DeleteThey are very amazing. They apparently want me to notice how amazing because I frequently walk out my front door and straight into a spider web.
ReplyDeleteVery true :) and oh dear, that would be startling.
DeleteI noticed several single leaves suspended in the air, while on a recent drive through a local park. Each of them had a beauty of their own.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a wonderful sight Linda :)
DeleteSpiders are fascinating, indeed. We have one in the downstairs bathroom. He or she has lived there for several months now; no trouble, no inconvenience, and we get along famously.
ReplyDeleteWe have had them take up residence too :) They are always welcome. In the summer, fast little spiders are shown the inside of a paper cup, covered with a tissue and taken outside.
DeleteI so enjoy seeing odd things like this when I'm outside anywhere anytime. Great photo.
ReplyDeleteMe too, taking photos makes you more aware of surroundings, I think. We become explorers of sorts :)
DeleteNature is amazing, great photo Denise.
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a happy Wednesday!
Very much so Eileen and thank you. You take care and hope you had a happy Wednesday as I write this on Thursday :)
DeleteGreat photo!
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine :)
DeleteThat is a fun shot! Screams Autumn!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ellen, yes it does :)
DeleteGood that you saw and appreciated such a small detail.
ReplyDeleteThese small details turn into blessings don't they?
DeleteThe intricacy of weaving in a spider web is amazing.
ReplyDeleteIt is, very much so Sandra :)
DeleteI do so admire spider webs from afar...this was a great snap Denise
ReplyDeleteHugs cecilia
Thank you Cecilia, as do I :) Hugs, Denise
DeleteThe web is so delicate, nature's lace.

DeleteI love to spot something like that and stop and marvel! Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your afternoon!
ReplyDeleteHello Diane, and these stops are what makes a great nature walk :) It is always my pleasure to share and thank you Diane :) I hope you had a wonderful afternoon also.
DeleteHow cool is that?!?!?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you saw that Jim and Barb, I thought it was very cool :)
DeleteIt amazes me how fast a small spider can spin a web.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I once saw one of those fast-motion videos and watched one create something absolutely beautiful :)
DeleteThose tiny spiders can make a big web.
ReplyDeleteThey can indeed Mary :)
DeleteWhat a super photograph.
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a lovely Wednesday.
All the best Jan
Thank you Jan, I appreciate that. We had a lovely Wednesday thank you, Thursday also. I hope you did too. All the best, Denise
DeleteDenise, this is a most lovely photo. It reminded me of a picture that Jess sent me this morning. Francesca was at her dad's work, and she took a picture of a giant spider web in nature. I love how you can see the forest trees in the distance in your picture. Have a good rest of the week, Denise.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful is that? So glad you enjoyed this photo and thank you for sharing the story of Francesca taking a photo of one. It's these things that plant the seed of how very beautiful nature is, when we are young. Thanks for sharing that Sheri. You have a good rest of the week also :)
DeleteLOVE spider webs!
ReplyDeleteThey are great, aren't they Ivy?
