Hmmmm.......
Just a short video this week of our only visitor. It's even slower at the bird bath. We have had very muggy weather again with lots of rain and thunderstorms most evenings. I haven't seen any birds around, not even in the trees. Maybe we have hawks in the area? Who knows!
So, no bird or animal chatter for you. Hopefully there will be something going on for the next one.
That's how it is going at this week's Saturday Morning at the Bird Feeder, zip, zero!
I hope you all have a great weekend.
So things are a bit squirrely around there! Seems he suspects something is up, but doesn't care. This was a nice surprise!
ReplyDeleteMost definitely squirrely Ginny, lol! Happy you found this a nice surprise, thank you :)
DeleteThey will be back soon :-) Let's hope there ain't hawks nearby. Happy Saturday, Denise.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the encouragement Angie and yes, let’s hope. A happy Saturday to you too :)
DeleteThat squirrel is cute—it was so alert—and yes, something is keeping the birds further away... but they’ll be back!
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself in this stormy weather.
Have a lovely weekend! hugs Elke
Thank you Elke :) and I appreciate your encouragement and concern. I saw a few flashes of lightning in the distance but not the rain we were experiencing. You have a lovely weekend also, hugs, Denise
DeleteThat is cute. Strange no birds there, guess they maybe too hot.
ReplyDeleteThank you Margaret and I guess so :)
DeleteHave a great weekend, Denise. It was rather warm today. I just saw a lot of bulbuls and finches in the tree. I'll be looking for squirrels when we get back to Illinois in a few weeks.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kay and how interesting :) you have a great weekend also.
DeleteWith the extreme close up, the intent eyes and the red roses, you have quite the picture.
ReplyDeleteHello friends, I was happy with this view of the squirrel and happy that this birthday present of mine came with a camera :) Thank you!
DeleteI'm sure the birds will be back soon.
ReplyDeleteI did enjoy the squirrel video ...
Have a good weekend.
All the best Jan
I am sure also Jan, it's probably like me watching a kettle that never boils :) So glad you enjoyed, gave me a chuckle. You have a good weekend also and all the best, Denise
DeleteI am sure the squirrel appreciated a cool drink of water, with no pesky birds to contend with.
ReplyDeleteI am sure it did David :)
DeleteWell the squirrel is cute but he’s no bird. He probably enjoys having the birdbath all to himself
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he is and yes, he's no bird but truth be told, he's welcome for a drink of water on such a hot day :)
DeleteIt looks like it had a wonderful visit :) Beautiful creature!
ReplyDeleteHello Natalie and welcome to my blog. So nice to meet you :) I agree with you.
DeleteNothing discourages that particular species -- I seem to remember them hitting our feeders in all kinds of weather!
ReplyDeleteHi Sallie, how lovely to see you here. Are you back to blogging? I'll be over to check before the day is out. Yes, the survival instincts are strong in this one, lol, and his kind :)
DeleteYou may have no birds, but you have a wonderful photograph of your squirrel.
ReplyDeleteThank you Janice. She is delightful isn't she?
DeleteEntertainment of the furry kind instead of the feathery kind. Happy Saturday!
ReplyDeleteNo matter what the species, always welcome and always entertaining. Thank you Ellen, and you have a Happy Saturday also :)
DeleteDenise what a fun and well captured video. I had no idea Squirrels could be so neat.
ReplyDeleteBOL BOL LOL
Next week will be miserable here too with many days in triple digit feels like
Hugs cecilia
I know Cecilia, delicate little things :) Oh dear, stay cool. Fall will be here before we know it. Hugs, Denise
DeleteEven the birds have to take a break sometimes!
ReplyDeleteThat they do Jeanie :)
DeleteI knew he would get there!
ReplyDeleteMe too Christine, I had no doubt :)
DeleteWe were noticing that our bird bath hasn’t been in high demand recently.
ReplyDeleteThat’s interesting John. I am wondering if the water and the stand itself is too hot and that I need to move it into a shady spot.
DeleteCute squirrel video Denise! The birds seem to find plenty of natural foods at this time.
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a great day and a happy weekend!
Thank you Eileen. I am only putting water out right now. It will be in the colder months that I will start feeding them again, when their natural food sources disappear. I will probably see more activity at the birdbath when that happens :)
DeleteLinda ardilla. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteMuchas gracias. Yo también lo pensaba :) Te mando un beso.
