ODDS AND BODS started Sunday 12/27/25

Good Morning!

“I haven’t had my first cuppa yet but don’t worry, I will soon be…

So, I am heading to the hot beverage station this very minute.

Ahhhh….that’s better! You can find me in my dream cottage. Knock on the door. I will put the kettle on…

in my dream kitchen…

 while thinking of wise words.
Some days will test you.
Others will teach you.
But every day is shaping the story
You’ll be glad you didn’t quit on.

Everyday courage
has few witnesses
but yours is no
less noble because
no drum beats for
you and no crowds
shout your name.
~Robert Louis Stevenson~

Kitty is choosing peace with his feathered friends. Such a dear and wise kitty!

Fun with Food
A little late for this now but I am going to
put it away for next time.

And this

I haven’t tried any of these but they look good.

I love making soups, especially when you can start early.

For international friends, There will be times I won’t have time to write everything down to be placed underneath a picture, but if you are interested in any of these recipes, like the soup above, or the dishes below, leave a comment and I will be happy to write out in full in the same comment box, so that you can use the translate button in my side bar, or anything else I may forget to do.

So, how about dessert?
Easiest 3-ingredient Chocolate Fudge
The creamiest, rich fudge is incredibly simple and
perfect for any occasion.

3 cups (510g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Melt chocolate and condensed milk.
Add vanilla.
Pour into pan and chill.

A quick and easy treat anyone can make.

One last recipe but this time for cleaning. I haven’t tried this one either, but intend to.

Did you know? Your washing machine needs washing too!
Run an empty hot cycle with 1 cup of white vinegar and
half a cup of baking soda once a month. It removes detergent
build-up, bad smells and keeps clothes fresher.

How about a groaner?
“Aloe, how are you?
“Long thyme no see.”

“You are special, yes you, the one who is reading this.”

You’ve survived every shadow so far,
don’t forget to notice how much light you carry now
~Aurelia Leafsong~

I hope the world treats you kindly today
and please remember, you are loved.

  2. I love the squirrel in front of the fire with coffee. And the awesome cottage. Although the kitchen is a bit too narrow for me. I love the washing machine cleaning tip, and am going to start doing it!

  6. It’s just about 7, and I have had my 2 cuppas. It’s easy since the coffee maker is just about only 6’ from my chair. 😀

  11. I like the Stephenson quote best out of all the quotes, they are all good and most pertain to Me, Myself and I, but the one Stephenson said Is Me. Everyday courage

    less noble because
    no drum beats for
    you and no crowds
