The tulips are from my archives but the article I read recently.
“Dutch Grown”, a floral company in the Netherlands, has donated over 10,000 flower bulbs to transform a park in Swannanoa, North Carolina.
The company said, “To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow. That belief is our gift to Swannanoa and everyone in Western North Carolina.”
Once again it does the heart good to see people trying to help others by lifting their spirits with these kind acts.
Thanks for stopping by and
I am wishing you all a wonderful day
full of positivity!
Wow, these photos are wonderful, totally gorgeous! Wonder why they chose this particular place?
ReplyDeleteThank you Ginny, I have since read that there was something in the local article that a Dutchman lives in this town. He must be the connection though I have no idea how.
DeleteHow lovely. Thank you - and that Dutch company.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sue :)
DeleteHow pretty and delightful!
ReplyDeleteThank you Angie :)
DeleteBeautiful photos of beautiful tulips. Lovely to hear of acts of generosity. Its too hot here for tulips to grow but they grow up on the tablelands. The town of Toowoomba has a fabulous Flower Festival in Spring where I have seen beautiful tulips growing.
ReplyDeleteThank you Diane :) The Toowoomba Flower Festival must be a fabulous experience.
DeleteThe tulips are beautiful, lovely photos Denise!
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a wonderful day!
Thank you Eileen :) I wish you the same.

ReplyDeleteI agree Janice, it is a good thing to be reminded that these kindnesses occur :)
DeleteI love the article and its so true, I am sure the resident survivors of the hurricane will enjoy the flowers and it will lift there spirits...

DeleteSwannanoa is a beautiful area in the NC mountains..oh and those flowers are my colors and the quote from the Netherlands was heartwarming
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
Have you been there Cecilia? I only know the area along the coast. Agreed :)

ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome Cloudia :) and I yours my friend.
DeleteI was sad to hear about the damage that occurred here after the hurricane. Swannanoa seems like such a beautiful little town that I'd love to visit one day. One of my friends is a carpet cleaner in greensboro, so I'll have to make the trip up there this Spring to see the tulips.
ReplyDeleteMe too Heather, weather can be so devastating. That would be lovely to visit your friend to see the tulips up there :)
DeleteFlowers lift my spirits as does this beautiful act of kind to those in NC. Such lovely tulips you have featured Denise!
ReplyDeleteAnd mine Martha Ellen :) Thank you my friend :)
DeleteThe quote from Audrey Hepburn is one of my favorites. We should all plant flowers - always.
