PATIENCE...

We were driving through one of our small towns some time ago and spotted this car several times. Finally, we came up behind it at a traffic light. I know nothing of its make, but I thought it was a very cool car. Anyone out there an expert? Like us they were in no hurry to get out of this pretty little town before exploring all the side roads. The quote made me smile.

"Patience is the ability to idle your motor when you feel like stripping your gears."

  1. Oh My, how slow those cars are compared to todays ones.

    1. Thanks Margaret, I am not sure how slow they are as we were driving around town and all the speed signs said 25 miles an hour, but no doubt you're right when they get on the roads where they can put pedal to the metal :)

  2. I really like the look of old cars - though they are not as safe or as comfortable. Wonderful patience quote.

  3. That is a cool car. My husband was the car expert and could tell what things were. I know nothing about them but just appreciate their beauty.

  6. bob is an expert, knows all cars, he said this is hard to tell with just rear view but it is a customized job, chopped top and not stock. probably a 1932 chop top, but with out another view can't tell. he wishes you had other views.

    1. Thanks for showing Bob :) I wish I had more views but this was all I could get as they went straight on and we had to turn off.

  7. It's nice to see different cars and vintage vehicles always attract attention. Modern cars are rather bland.

  9. Oh do I love the quote...so many are in such a hurry now and add to that rude.
My husband watches all the classic car show. This one has been restored expertly.
Even though 99% of the cars of its era were all black.

    1. It's a great quote isn't it? I don't see too many old classics now that are black. Repainted? Thanks Cecilia, sending hugs!

What an interesting looking antique car. I wonder if that's a rumble seat in the back?
