I am sharing Gregg's photos today. He wanted to change to black and white and adjusted his iPhone. We both liked them very much and I would like to try my own next time we go out.
It was a wonderful day, started out at 83 degs F (28 degs C), not too much humidity that I could detect. However, at the end of our walk it got up to 88 degs F (31 degs C) with high humidity. I was glad to be heading to our air-conditioned car by that time. I probably walked a bit too far again - tsk, tsk I can hear Gregg saying. He always warns me, but those flowers and bees you know.
We had a delightful time chatting to a lovely couple, which I will go into more when I do another post.
We were at what has become our favorite walk-about place, Green Spring Gardens, and more later.
Thanks for looking and have a great day.

The black & white photo of you is just stunning!! And the second photo has wonderful shadows! I like your hat!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ginny, very sweet of you to say and much appreciated :) It’s an old hat and a definite favorite for the sunny days we have during the summer. Loving hubby’s black and white photos. I will share more as time goes on.
DeleteI think it looks so interesting in black-and-white photos, too, and you look stunning in your summer outfit! It’s going to be 31 degrees here today as well! Have a wonderful day—hugs, Elke.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words dear Elke :) oh you are going to have another hot day. I hope you can stay cool. Hugs, Denise
DeleteLovely in black and white and the photos are so lovely. Thank you Denise. Keep cool.
ReplyDeleteThank you Margaret and you are very welcome, and staying as cool as I can :) I was just saying to hubby, on these hot and humid summers, it must have been a shock to the system when those first settlers arrived.
DeleteThe eye is drawn to different details in black and white. Sometimes colour distracts.
ReplyDeleteThat’s a good point Janice. I agree with you :)
DeleteLovely black and whites. I think it always makes photos look more dramatic
ReplyDeleteThank you Ann :) very true.
DeleteI have noticed a bit of a tendency of late for some photographers to revert to black- and-white. Perhaps it goes with revival of vinyl records!
ReplyDeletePerhaps David :)
DeleteBeautiful B&W images. I like the photo of you, well done!
ReplyDeleteTake care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.
I will tell hubby that, he will be so pleased :) Thank you and I wish you the same.
DeleteThe black and white sure show off details without color distraction. Kudos on 'walking' too far!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the kudos Val :) Much appreciated! I agree with you about color distractions.
DeleteBlack and White makes the image pop a lot more. Color can be a distraction. But if you want photos to enjoy the colors, then black and white doesn't work. It's great with iPhones because you can pick and choose. It'll will be great see your black and white photos sometime too.
ReplyDeleteVery much so and I agree with you :) we love our iPhones. I keep referring to mine lately as ‘my camera’. Thank you Erika, it will be fun to practice :)
DeleteIs that a photo of you or the gal you met? I don't think I have seen a photo of you. Pretty. I like black and whites okay - not my favorite to be completely honest.
ReplyDeleteYes that’s me :) I understand about black and white photos too :)
DeleteHow nice to get out in a beautiful place for a walk. Fun black and whites especially of you in your hat!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the compliment on my hat Ellen. It’s an old one but always covered and stored carefully when not in use. It certainly a lovely place for a walk and I was eager to get out, especially as we had had such a lot of heavy rain for a few days before :)
DeleteThe black and white brings a whole different feeling to the photos. I do like it.
ReplyDeleteThat’s great, thank you Sandra :)
DeleteThere is something very charming about black and white photos! I had the experience yesterday....walking started off lovely but, goodness, it seemed to get (very) warm quickly. Hooray for the ac in our vehicles!! Happy Tuesday to you!
