Saturday, April 10th, 2026, Gregg was at our local shopping strip and sent me photos - front and back - of a car he swears will be our next road-trip-ride. No, I don't think so, I said. It's a "Slingshot" and you can find a dealer by typing in the name.
For some reason they remind me of the old Hot Rod days.
Added note: coincidentally I visited Ginny's Blog and she had the same vehicle on her post here. Ginny gave me all the information I needed on this interesting vehicle. Thanks Ginny!
Another coincidence, today (the 14th) we were heading back to our home, and we saw this at the intersection. I noticed this one had a roof attached, which probably can be removed very easily. These slingshots are getting around. I wonder how popular they will become.
That's all I have got for today.
Thanks for visiting and have a great week.

Great minds think alike! But you outdid me. You found TWO and got really sharp pics in the daylight. I like these better than the black ones; which remind me of the Batmobile.
ReplyDeleteThey certainly do, I was enjoyed your post and info sharing. I thought your photos were great. I got a few blurry ones on the one we saw at the intersection. But those are always a memory :) They do look like the Batmobile come to think of it.
DeleteThat’s interesting!
ReplyDeleteI haven’t seen a Slingshot around in Malaysia before.
It would definitely turn heads if one passed by.
Thanks Veronica Lee :) Maybe they will make it out there soon.
DeleteWhat an amazing vehicle! I'd love to cruise around the beach in one of those. I really like the color too!
ReplyDeleteThose are great photos!
Good day , hugs Elke
Hello dear Elke and thank you :) you have a good day also. Hugs, Denise
DeleteGoodness, Denise. I've looked at the website and here the wheels are big and the body is well off the ground and they use them for trial bike riding. Interesting.
ReplyDeleteI missed that the use them for trail biking Margaret, but can see that when I look at them again. Thanks for sharing that!
DeleteThis reminded me of Ginny's post. I think they look kind of fun to ride around in
ReplyDeleteI am not sure if I could get out of one even if I could get in it, lol!
DeleteI have never seen a slingshot vehicle. Take care, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteThese were new to me also, then after these, I saw the one at Ginny’s blog and the very next day, the one at the intersection. Thank you, you take care and enjoy your day also Eileen :)
DeleteI have not even heard of them! I did have a slingshot when I was a boy though.
ReplyDeleteAs many did no doubt and those were the only ones I knew about before seeing these :)
DeleteI seem to be unaware.
ReplyDeleteAs was I until a few days ago :)
DeleteI didn't know these were called slingshots. I always thought they were hot-rodded up versions of those 3 wheel trikes.
ReplyDeleteI could maybe manage a three-wheeled trike, lol!
DeleteSomebody took a Matchbox car off the shelf. Looks scary. (My aging Dad took a ride in a previous hubby's TransAm car. Said he needed a jock strap to safely drive it!) Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteApologies to your dad but I laughed out loud when I read what your dad said :) He had a great sense off humor.
DeleteDear Denis :)
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of these cars before, they look snazzy but I think I would have difficulty getting in and out of such a vehicle.
Hope you are welll
All the best
Sonjia
Hello Sonjia, I do wonder how comfortable they are :) You and I would have the same difficulty. I am well thank you. I hope you are also. All the best, Denise
DeleteI imagine you get a exciting ride out of these vehicles.
ReplyDeleteI imagine so but I won’t ever find out :)
DeleteI've never seen one.
ReplyDeleteI had not either before these :)
DeleteWell I love RED but I'll pass on that backwards vehicle. Several years ago we were on Mt. Mitchell (6,000+ feet elevation). ONe of those things came zooooming up to the parking lot. NO THANK you I want an entire car when I'm driving mountain roads
ReplyDeleteHugs
Cecilia
Now that would have been very startling :0 Having the whole car on a mountain road sounds a very wise thing to do :) Hugs, Denise
DeleteInteresting! For the old guts who can no longer ride their Harleys, maybe? Not for me though. I doubt I could get out of it...assuming I could get in!
ReplyDeleteMaybe and probably :) I know I wouldn’t be able to get in or out of that thing.
DeleteHahaha
ReplyDeleteIndeed :)
DeleteI have never seen a slingshot vehicle ... don't think it would be easy getting in or out of it though LOL
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Couldn’t have said it better myself Jan :) All the best, Denise
DeleteThat looks like a very interesting vehicle.
ReplyDeleteI agree Mary :)
DeleteLindo carro. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteGracias; lo es, pero quizás no para mí :) Me alegra que haya gente que disfrute tener uno, pero no creo que yo pudiera entrar ni salir de él... y lo digo con una sonrisa. Te mando un beso.
Deletei have seen a few here in new jersey, and my neighbor has one. i don't know how i feel about them, not for me, i can't imagine you would survive a crash in that!!
ReplyDeleteNot for me either Debbie :) And you're right about that one.
DeleteI had never seen or heard of these before until I saw Ginny's post--and now yours.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Ginny nor I had heard of them until we saw the ones we took photos of :)
DeleteWhenever I see a low slung vehicle like that, I wonder if it’s safe to drive on on the interstate. A tractor trailer driver might not even see it.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you and I have wondered about that too. It is a great question and it got me curious so I looked it up. This is what I got from Google.
Delete“Yes, the Polaris Slingshot is fully highway-legal and allowed on the interstate. It is generally classified as an "autocycle" in most US states, requiring only a valid driver's license rather than a motorcycle endorsement. However, helmet laws depend on local state regulations.”
My guess is that it is very uncomfortable, and also smelly, being so close to the road, and sucking in every other vehicle's exhaust fumes.
ReplyDeleteI expect you are spot on there Janice :)
DeleteThat looks cool. Never seen anything like it before :-D
ReplyDeleteI remember it being a wondrous sight the first time I was here Ananka :)
DeleteAh, boys and their toy dreams!
ReplyDeleteI've heard that before somewhere, lol!
