I found the hummingbird while on a trip to San Diego in 2011, drinking nectar from a Canna Lily. I was admiring all the flowers at the time.

    Happy New Year, Denise. 2026 will likely be the year we will be making the trek to the DC metro area as daughter and family will be moving back there for her job. Maybe we can connect in person at some point.

    Agreed. Beautiful quote and photo! The photo is amazing, and I had thought you snapped it from a calendar or magazine. I don't know how you managed it so clear and sharp when they have such speedy movement!
