I thought I would do a shorter version of our around and abouts from last week. I have numbered each photo in the corners.
No. 1 & 2: Gregg fancied an ice cream. He recently found a place in Vienna, which is about a half-hour ride from home. They make theirs on the premises. This is our second time and we again ordered a couple of scoops of their coffee, one of the best coffee ice creams we have ever had. It is a fun place. In another section of the shop, they have shelves of items that you can paint, and there are get-togethers to do just that, as you can see from all the people sitting at the table.
No. 3: As for me, I fancied a coffee on the way home, so we went through their drive-thru. I take photos of everything as you probably know by now.
No. 4: We noticed this couple riding along at a steady speed on electric bicycles. Gregg is very interested in them and said to take a photo so that we could see the make. I took several because the grass was high, but I finally got one with the make branded on the side. He is very interested in the ones that fold, so that you can put them in the trunk. Can I see myself on an electric bicycle knowing that I can easily fall out of my shoes, mentioned several times before? Not really but he has not given up yet. When I said as much, he is now looking for electric tricycles for me. Okay my Sweet, don't hold your breath. Am I being a tad naughty, yes but I honestly don't see it happening. I should add, stay tuned.
No. 5: I noticed the shadows on my dog figurines, thought they looked really interesting. See the last sentence in No 3.
No. 6: About 30 years ago I bought this little fox trinket box. He looks a bit cross, but I still enjoy him.
No. 7 & 8: over the last few months we have been watching this large structure being built. Every time we passed by, we had a guessing game as to what it was going to be. Finally, a sign appeared. Neither of us thought of dogs. Those pups are going to have plenty of room to move around but he who is wide eyed with shock, wants to know where do the cats go?
Coffee ice cream AND coffee - you know how to live.

xo
It's a delicious combination isn't it Amalia :) xo
DeleteElectric bikes well a big thing down here once but not so much now.
ReplyDeleteYou ice cream sound alright. I'm vanilla person when it comes to ice cream.
Take care.
I like vanilla too Margaret and haven't tried coffee ice cream in a long time. Theirs was exceptional :) Interesting about the E Bikes your way. They seem to be getting more and more popular here.
DeleteIce cream that's made on the premises is ofter very good! It sounds like a lovely outing. I just love that trinket box with the picture of a fox!!
ReplyDeleteHi Nicole, this one was first class in taste, a lovely coffee flavor :) Happy you like my trinket box.
DeleteIt’s the everyday moments that bring the most smiles.
ReplyDeleteVery true :)
DeleteHave a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you Anne, you too :)
DeleteIce cream sounds good. I've always thought that the electric bikes kind of defeated the purpose of riding a bike but then again going up hills they would be quite handy.
ReplyDeleteI love the fox trinket box.
Going up hills these E Bikes would come into their own :) Glad you liked the trinket box and an occasional ice cream treat is a real treat.
DeleteGreat that you have your camera ready to record the goings-on in your life.
ReplyDeleteI use my cell phone more than anything these days, along with an attached strap that goes around my wrist, so the wind doesn't knock it out of the window :)
DeleteHello Denise,
ReplyDeleteI like the dogs and their shadows. That is a huge building for the dogs.
Take care, have a great day and happy weekend!
Hello Eileen :) so glad and yes it is. Thank you and I wish you the same :)
DeleteInteresting selection, Denise. Doggy play parks are becoming more popular here. Some are just fields that can be booked by the hour, but they're a good solution for people whose dogs may be reactive.
ReplyDeleteThank you Janice and that's interesting about your play parks. It is a very good solution, gives dogs and their human family peace of mind :)
Deletefrom the point of view of living life inside my house, yours is amazing and oh so fun. love the foxy trinket box. right now I would take an outing in my back yard far away from the sound of bobs spoon rattle that calls me
ReplyDeleteIt's all relative isn't it Sandra? I wish I lived closer to be able to help you my dear friend :)
DeleteI'm okay in saying my days of riding a two wheeler bicycle are behind me. I would consider an adult version of a tricycle. I love coffee ice cream! Have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteAnd mine too I believe Ellen. I have lovely memories of riding all over Washington DC on my regular bicycle. Well, from one coffee ice cream lover to another, you have a lovely day also :)
DeleteWhat a fun way to show the week!
ReplyDeleteRight before Allie and I moved I was seeing a young guy zipping down the sidewalk now and then on an electric scooter! Looked like the plain scooters that were around when I was a kid--just two wheels, a flat platform to stand on, and handlebar on a tall pole to hang on to--but could it over go fast! Never had seen one before. Pretty cool! An electric bike would be much more comfortable than standing all the time--lol! :) With my balance I'd probably need an electric three-wheeler. ;)
Thanks Rita, electric scooters are very popular here too, the kind you can pick up and leave anywhere. The company uses the GPS to find them. We've seen them on sidewalks everywhere. All you need is your credit card to use them. Amazing how far we've come and only just touched the tip of the iceberg. I've seen small helicopters for personal use on the news. Can you imagine? Yes, most definitely more comfortable than standing all the time, totally agree on that one! And I would definitely need an electric three-wheeler but it's going to take a lot of convincing to get me on one. I can be a stubborn old thing, lol!
DeleteSounds like great ice cream. It's too bad that it's so far away.
ReplyDeleteOr as I would say, it's a good job it's not right around the corner. I'd be in a lot of trouble, lol! :)
DeleteCoffee Ice cream is my favorite....I really like the collage!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
Hi Cecilia, wonderful and thank you so much. Sending hugs :)
DeleteBob likes coffee ice cream. I don’t. I don’t like coffee in any form or fashion!
ReplyDeleteThat's interesting about you and Bob on coffee ice-cream. Now Gregg loves coffee ice cream but cannot take a cup of coffee just like you :)
DeleteI am happy for you for a good week!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jenn, I appreciate that very much :)
DeleteEnjoyed your adventures and collage. Have a great afternoon!
ReplyDeleteSo glad and thank you. I hope yours was a good one also :)
DeleteGreat photos Denise. Have a good weekend :-D
ReplyDeleteThank you Ananka :) you too!
DeleteThank you so much for taking us out and about with you.
ReplyDeleteI am very happy you could come with me Sue :)
DeleteIt's been a long time since I've had coffee ice cream. Now I want it. I could ride a tricycle but would fall over immediately on a bike!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get it soon, a great combination. Good for you Sandra, I am not sure I could even ride a tricycle :)
DeleteHas detallado muy bien todo lo acontecido a través de esas fotos.
ReplyDeleteFeliz fin de semana.
Muchas gracias, agradezco mucho tu comentario. ¡Feliz fin de semana! :)
DeleteMy niece and her husband once had an ice cream/paint your own pottery store in Urbana. Sadly they closed - not making a profit. Their ice cream was delicious and I enjoyed doing some painting there.
ReplyDeleteIt is so nice you three had that experience. Such a shame it closed. I hope this one is able to stay open :)
DeleteNot sure about coffee ice cream ... how about raspberry ripple?
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Oh now that sounds delicious Jan :) all the best to you too.
DeleteUy los helados siempre nos hacen sentir mejor. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteEstoy de acuerdo contigo :) Te mando un beso.
DeleteHi Denise, I love your beautiful collage! We have dog parks here in Montreal, although not with a pretty sign depicted in your photo "Healthy Hound Playground". What a beautiful sign that is!
ReplyDeleteSometimes when I am taking a walk and I happen to pass a park that has a fenced in section for dogs to play, I watch for a while, as I love to see dogs play! It is do relaxing and enjoyable!
Thank you so much for sharing, dear friend.
Hello dear friend, thank you very much and you are very welcome :) That sounds lovely. I enjoy watching dogs play also and I agree with you.
DeleteI can see why you like that little fox. It’s adorable.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda :) it’s one of those treasures that will always be on the mantle.
DeleteNumbering is one solution to presenting photos. You really do take pictures of everything.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the few times I have numbered my photos. And yes I do, I find something interesting in everything apparently :)
DeleteIt’s the day-to-day things that shape our lives, Denise, and we all lead such varied ones. Thanks for sharing a bit of your day and we would also enjoy that coffee ice cream. A couplf of local ice cream stores are thankfully not within walking distance. Electric bikes also interest Patrick, but myself, not at all.
ReplyDeleteVery true and a lovely way to put it, thank you. We have many ice cream stores in our area and I am glad they are all beyond walking distance :) Perhaps we will see Patrick on an electric bike one day?
Deletevery beautiful , i'm glad you are able to get out and about. i like the way you presented your fun...ice cream is my hubs favorite. we both have electric bikes, and use the pedal assist feature so we are still peddling and getting exercise. most people use them like motorcycles!!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie, thank you :) It is lovely that you have your own e-bikes and yes, I have seen how fast those things go, even those electric scooters. The pedal assist feature is the way to go for the needed exercise.
DeleteA very good picture and story to go with of your adventures. I love the painting table. That's pretty cool. Looks like old time good fun.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ivy :) old time good fun is a great description :)
DeleteThank you for sharing your day Denise. The coffee ice cream sounds delicious.
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome Beverley :) it certainly was.
