All is well on this Saturday Morning at the Bird Feeder. The Northern Flicker slept under the guest toadstool, and is safely continuing his journey this morning. Camera Lady is hoping he will be back soon.
Have a great day everyone and I hope wherever you are, your nest is cozy and warm.
Oh my gosh, the little tiny bird cocktails! You just never run out of whimsical and fun ideas! Good thing there was an extra toadstool for the tipsy flicker!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ginny, I have a few blank moments, lol! We always seem to have an extra toadstool around here :)
DeleteI do hope the guest slept well before they flew off, Denise.
ReplyDeleteFlicker slept very well Margaret, now I see the doves are out there having a snooze :)
Deletewe have never slept under a toad stool. Hope it was comfy and that non critters showed up to turn over anything on the deck. we know that happens sometimes.
ReplyDeleteWell, funny you should say that Sandra. The other morning Froggies3 had fallen off the bottom bench. I'm sure they were sleeping under their own toadstool til morning. The Kissing Bunnies were also on their side. It must have been quite a wild party :)
DeleteIt's always a pleasure to visit the birdfeeder on a Saturday morning. Nice to hear that the Northern Flicker spent the night before heading out for it's flight.
ReplyDeleteYou put a smile on my face Ann, thank you :)
DeleteThe birds are looking delightful. A little early for cocktails, but anything for a special guest!
ReplyDeleteWell, as they say, it's 12 o'clock over the yard arm somewhere Jeanie, lol!
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI hope the Flicker is not drinking and flying. Cute image and captions.
Happy February, have a great day and weekend.
Thanks Eileen, you too :)
DeleteMOL BOL TOL(tweet out loud) I love camera ladies sense of humor.
ReplyDeleteI give her a standing ovation. Please tell her we had a N flicker this morning. I bet it was yours and it did arrive safely
Hugs Cecilia
I'm telling her how sweet your comment is and she sends her thanks :) Sending hugs!
DeleteThis is a happy place to wake up to. I'm certain the toadstool was cozy.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandra, we do our best :)
DeleteWe have many flickers at this time. I don't know if they're having cocktails but they dine at my feeders.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful Red, I would love to see more than the one I get, but I'm happy every time he turns up. Glad they aren't all having cocktails ;)
DeleteSooooo cute, the cocktails and the birds chatter. Made me smile. Happy Sat morning to you.
ReplyDeleteSandy's Space
Happy they gave you a smile Sandy, that is always my aim :) Happy Saturday to you too.
DeleteFlickers warm my heart. (Old memories.)
ReplyDeleteMy nest is cozy and pretty warm. Very windy today and it is roaring against the building (27 degrees). Glad to be inside with Miss Allie sleeping on my chair with me. ;)
That's so nice Rita, they certainly do mine :) Good to know you are cozy and warm. I was wondering about your temperatures out there. An idyllic picture you share with Miss Allie :)
DeleteVery responsible drinkers. Have a great first day of February, Denise!
ReplyDeleteYes they are :) Thanks Ellen and I wish you a very happy First day of February too!
DeleteSuch a pretty bird and so nice to be welcomed for the night!
ReplyDeleteThanks Janice and I think so too on both counts :)
DeleteYou have a groovy weekend too. Hope it's a good one.
ReplyDeleteAh thanks Ivy, I hope yours is too my friend :)
DeleteLove the northern flicker!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda, he's a beauty isn't he?
DeleteYou are hilarious and very good with the photos. My bird camera after a few days of decent birds is almost all house sparrows. I never realized how vicious and nasty they are even with each other. I saw one trying to gouge out another birds eye.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you think so Yogi, always trying to bring my blogging friends a smile. We haven't had a lot of house sparrows, just one or two. I didn't realize they were so aggressive! I have been watching our birds and figuring out which ones feed with others on the same feeding dish. It's very interesting to see their personalities take shape.
DeleteTHANK YOU for yet another great Saturday at the Bird Feeder post :)
ReplyDeleteOnce again I go away smiling ... :)
All the best Jan
Always makes me happy my chatty birds put a smile on your face Jan, thank you for sharing that :) All the best!
