The Kissing Bunnies were doing what they usually do and not paying much attention, but the little House Finch seemed interested in their new guest.
A White-throated Sparrow was waiting for her partner but decided to practice her half of the pas de deux. She was tired and feeling very blurry! She couldn't focus at all!
Next word of the day, "Quirky" but we will wait on that one. It seems to explain things somehow.
And that's the way it goes on a Saturday Morning at the Bird Feeder. Frappé was soon on his way back up North, and for some strange reason, Camera Lady was heading for the coffee pot.
Thanks for looking and I hope your day
is a great one!
My favorite Saturday post!
ReplyDeleteStrange...what a strange word!!
I loved that you included the snowman too! I think it fits very well!
Be well my friend and have a nice day!!
Wonderful! Thank you very much Katerina. Be well and have a nice day also my friend :)
DeleteIs the snow really up to Froggies 3's necks? Wow! Quirky definition is: unusual in an especially interesting or appealing way. And that is what Saturday At The Birdfeeder is. Besides: whimsical, delightful, funny, unique, creative, fun, and wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly was Ginny, though it has all melted away now :) I expect they will be in for another snow bath soon. You have probably heard about the expected snow on Monday :0 A very sweet description of my post, made me smile. Thank you my friend :)
DeleteHave a great weekend, Denise. You've now put me in the mood to have a frappe.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kay and you also :) I am in the mood for one like you :)))
DeleteExcellent Denise.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
So kind of you, thank you Margaret :)
DeleteYour world is more vivid and animated than mine
ReplyDeleteThat’s how my brain works, I never know which way my Saturday mornings go, just ask the hubs, lol! :)
DeleteBig smiles. Again.
ReplyDeleteAnd that makes me happy, thank you Sue :)
DeleteEnjoy your coffee!
ReplyDeleteThanks e, I am just about to :)
Deletetalking birds and talking snowmen, what could be better and all this before your coffee.. love the bird on the umbrella
ReplyDeleteIndeed my friend, what could be better :) I was very happy to get that little bird on the umbrella. He was on and off in seconds and happily my reflexes were fast, always a “yay” from me :)
DeleteSuch a charming snapshot of life at the bird feeder! It’s lovely to hear how the birds interact in their little world, from the playful bunnies to the wandering Finch and the elegant Bluebird. Your "quirky" description certainly fits the delightful chaos of nature. I can almost picture Camera Lady enjoying her coffee after a lovely morning!
ReplyDeleteYou are invited to check out my new post: https://www.melodyjacob.com/2025/01/denim-on-denim-styling-cinched-waist-denim-vest.html
Hello Melody, thank you for your lovely comment, much appreciated :) I look forward to visiting soon :)
DeleteI always enjoy your feathered friends' conversations. Frappe is cute. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteThat’s great, thank you Carol :) I hope you are staying warm also. I know it has been unusually cold in Florida.
DeleteThere's always something going on if you have the eyes to look - and you do, and we're all very grateful for you.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Jan, I am very happy you think so :)
DeleteLove it. How nice of Frappe to stop by for a visit. You just never know who will show up at the feeders. I always enjoy the conversations going on though.
ReplyDeleteIt was very nice of him, but after staying in one place for all this time, I think he was glad to be going home ;) Always happy you enjoy Ann, thank you so much for letting me know :)
DeleteAnother great Saturday at the bird feeder
ReplyDeleteHappy you think so Linda :) Thank you so much!
DeleteMe thinks the camera lady maybe hit the liquor cabinet instead of the coffee bar?
ReplyDeleteNow you made me laugh out loud. Hubs asked me what I was laughing at, and I read him your comment. He laughed out loud too. It was a “start-the-day-with-a-two-laugh-morning.” And a big smile from both of us. Thank you!!!
DeleteBeautiful.

ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday to you too Christine, and thank you :)

ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome Ellen and you have a great day also :)
DeleteCool! Have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you Anne, you too! :)
DeleteWe love to watch our birds at our bird feeders! I must tell you this: my mother in law visited us from England. When she saw the house finch she was amazed at this gorgeous bird! She was absolutely floored by the name! She said a bird that pretty needed a better name than just "house finch"!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kay and I really appreciate you telling the story about your mother-in-law. When I read your comment to hubs, we both agreed with her :)
DeleteDear Critters maybe she had a bit of brain frost bite...either way I love it OMCs camera lady was on a roll .
ReplyDeleteHi Frappie
Hugs cecilia
Probably so Cecilia, I'm sitting here with my fingers a bit stiff because it's chilly :) Waiting to warm up a bit. I will be heading for a hot cup of green tea soon. Glad you enjoy my touch of wimsy. Frappie says hi :) Sending hugs!
DeleteCamera Lady and her subjects crack me up!
ReplyDeleteAnd that always makes me smile sharing a smile. Thank you Jeanie :)
DeleteCute captions, I love the finches and bluebird. Great images.
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a great weekend.
Thank you Eileen, much appreciated and you take care and have a great weekend also :)
DeleteSo cold here with frostbite warnings because of the windchill. Glad to put out extra seed for my feathered friends at the Critter Cafe. ;) Have a great weekend and stay warm. :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, frostbite warnings? I hope you're not going out in that Rita. Your feathered friends will love you for taking care of them. You have a great weekend also, and by all means, do stay warm :)
DeleteAww another lovely Saturday post Denise.
ReplyDeleteI had to smile at "Camera Lady was heading for the coffee pot." ... I would be heading for the teapot :)
Enjoy your weekend.
All the best Jan
And if I could I would join you for a cup of tea Jan. Thank you my friend and you enjoy your weekend also. All the best!
DeleteGood to see the snowman :-)
ReplyDeleteI am happy you think so, thanks Angie :)
DeleteI love that little snowman at the bird feeder. And it looks like you are getting some snow! We are supposed to get another snow in February. Your bird photos always delight me, Denise. You have such a variety of birds coming to visit you. Thank you for your prayers for the fires in So. Cal. The girls are safe in their areas, but it's such a terrible thing that is happening down there right now. I appreciate your sincere and thoughtful comments so much.
ReplyDelete~Sheri
Thank you Sheri :) Yes we have had more snow today. Not as much as the last snowfall though. At least they tell us that and hopefully they are correct. We do have a variety of birds, and they are extremely entertaining. You still have my prayers for those awful fires. I do hope they can get a handle on it soon, but it seems with all those high winds, oh my goodness, just awful! I am hoping and praying for the best for you all. I am also very relieved your girls are safe.
DeleteThese are fun.
ReplyDeleteHappy you think so, thanks so much William :)
