SATURDAY MORNING AT THE BIRD FEEDER - THE SQUIRRELS HAD A PARTY

It was wild!

Nope, we're not doing word of the day today.

The American Robins flew in to check out what all the commotion was about.

The Mockingbird turned up for a few seconds.

The Robins turned up with friends and had their own party.

Everyone was all of a tweeter.

The inanimate object was by this time standing upright and wasn't talking, Kissing Bunnies were okay too. Big Bunny is still staying away, but this little guy turned up. Everyone was keeping a close eye on him. He told everyone he was innocent and that he didn't know anything.

I have noticed how you all tip toe and jump over those leaves. We keep sweeping them up and they keep falling. That's why they call it "Fall!"

Tell them they have very good fluffy tails. They would be great for sweeping. All they have to do is waddle backwards!

And that's how it goes at this week's Saturday Morning at the Bird Feeder.

Have a great weekend everyone
and thanks for stopping by for another whimsical tale.

  1. Oh my GOODNESS!! Disaster at the Birdfeeder!! I was thinking, whenever wild animals act unusually freaky like this, it can be a sign of rabies. Because I cannot figure out anything else. I was at Home Goods today. They always have so many different Froggies 3. I always think of you! And I turn to Phil and say "Look, Froggies 3!!" He thinks I'm out of my mind.

    1. Well that’s made my day :) Not about the rabies obviously, about your comment to Phil about Froggies3 :))) Tickled pink I am. Thank you Ginny! I read that squirrels are very rarely infected by rabies. I have had a chance to observe them a lot and what I see is them chasing each other away when there is food around. They get very territorial.

  3. wow, this is a wild looking scene, and me thinks you need a CSI to come and gather evidence and someone should go to JAIL... ha ha
they seem to be escalating the damage, and when you had the old deck I don't remember them being this bad and tearing things up

    1. That’s a great idea Sandra :) I agree about the old deck. Since we added the bench too. I used to see antics going on but not like this.

  4. Well that squirrel may be innocent but the guilty parties sure did do a number on things. They were not very good guests at all.

  6. Wow! Those are strong squirrels to knock down the bird bath! Wonder if it was a coyote chasing them that knocked stuff down. Linda in Kansas

  14. Goodness gracious Denise they are really throwing wild parties at your place! Love the idea of the furry tails sweeping up the leaves. Maybe while they are at it they can clean up the rest of their shenanigans. Happy evening to you, my friend!
