These are not the best photos. It was a rainy day and I do so wish there was sunshine on these two. I had to brighten them up a bit as they were very dark. I also only had a few seconds to take their photo...
because mama was gone and then baby flew off into the trees after her. He really looked a little confused.
I heralded my first baby bird this year. Such a heartwarming sight. They both looked a bit bedraggled with the rain. These are Eastern Bluebirds. The bluebirds have only just started coming back to the garden.
You can read about them if you go to this link.
Thanks for the visit and
I hope your day is a great one.
What luck that you found them! They are precious photos! I think I have seen one this spring so far.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ginny, you will probably be seeing more now :)
DeleteThe open-mouthed bird needs food to grow or affection if confused.
ReplyDeleteI really liked the photosDenise.
That's what I was thinking today,
should I choose a photo that is technically good or one that wasn't so clean but had a story to tell?
Of course I chose the one that was a bit blurry but would speak to the audience!
Have a nice Week!
Yes, it is a confusing time for baby birds :) So glad you like the photos Katerina, thank you :) Even blurry photos can have a part to play, like life.
DeleteWhat lovely visitors.
ReplyDeleteVery much so! Thank you Sue :)
DeleteI think they are absolutely beautiful photos! They certainly made me smile! Have a happy Sunday !😁
ReplyDeleteThank you Sal, makes me very happy you think so :) You have a happy Sunday too.

ReplyDeleteThank you Sandra, so pleased you think so. Yes, like so many things, the same all across the species, lol!
DeleteWas there only one youngster?
ReplyDeleteYes David, only one that I saw. I hope there will be more :)
DeleteSuch pretty little birds. Babies of any species are appealing.
ReplyDeleteThat’s very true Janice :) thank you.
DeleteI would not have guessed that as a Eastern Bluebird, they look so much different than our Mountain Bluebirds
ReplyDeleteI need to refresh on your Mountain Bluebird.
DeleteWhat a wonderful photo. I love that you have babies there!
ReplyDeleteI was happy too, thank you Jeanie :)
DeleteSo cute
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine :)
DeleteOhhhhh lots of fine feathered babies are emerging.
ReplyDeleteI do love Bluebirds. They have thoroughly enjoyed my suet this year too.
Soft food for the babies
Hugs Cecilia
That’s wonderful Cecilia :) I have suet cakes with meal worms, yum yum, lol!
DeleteBeautiful blog
ReplyDeleteThank you Rejani :)
DeleteAhh, sweet baby bird!
ReplyDeleteVery much so, thank you Ellen :)
DeleteLucky you! I would be happy with getting to photograph them. Our neighbors have bluebirds, and they sit on the fence...except when I get my camera out and then I never see them.
ReplyDeleteThis is rare to see a baby bird. I was thrilled! I hear you about you and your camera and your neighbor’s bluebirds. Such a lot of taking these photos is a matter of luck :)
DeleteBlue birds are pretty scarce here.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful there seem to be quite a few of the around here lately :)
DeleteThe first two pictures look like that one bird is giving the other quite an earful. Such a sweet little thing.
ReplyDeleteSome would say it’s the same all across the species :) lol!
DeleteHow lovely ...
ReplyDeleteI hope you've had a good weekend, we've enjoyed a nice sunny one.
All the best Jan
Thank you Jan and so glad you have had a sunny weekend :) May your week be sunny also. All the best to you too!
DeleteOh so sweet to view a mama and baby bluebird! I get so excited when I see them. Hopefully they will visit again, Denise.
ReplyDeleteVery much so Martha Ellen :) Hope so too :)
DeleteMe too Linda, they sure are a lovely sight to see :)
ReplyDeleteYou always take the best bird photos, Denise. I never get them when their mouths are wide open like that. I have been seeing lots of birds this Spring, especially the California Quail and the precious Eurasian Collared Doves. I always enjoy your delightful bird posts, my friend.
ReplyDelete~Sheri
Sweet of you to say Sheri. I was lucky this day considering how dull it was and I got a great memory of that sweet little bird. I would love to see the California Quail again, and those Eurasian Collared Doves. Must visit California again. Thank you my friend :)
