Oh my goodness, now we've really got to get cracking. I have already written out most of my cards to send out, both trees are decorated, and stocking stuffers have been stuffed into stockings, all wrapped up and ready to be put on hooks for Christmas Eve. I'm a little more ahead of the game this year.
And now, here is an ode to dogs. I met this sweet pup several years ago at a visitor center garden in New Mexico. His human and he were driving across country like we were.
Dogs have no idea how
Wonderful they are.
They just wander
Around making the
World a better place.

ReplyDeleteThank you Ellen, I've surprised myself this year :)
DeleteI don't have a dog. But since I spend time walking and in my yard, I meet many dogs. So what you say rings a bell with me.
ReplyDeleteThat's really nice. I don't have a dog now but I see a lot of them being walked in our neighborhood, and always at the places we visit.
DeleteHappy December! I cannot imagine our lives without a dog. They bring such joy to out lives. No matter if we are gone 5 minutes or 5 hours, they are so excited to see us!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jim and Barb :) Me neither! I always remember the bang of our sweet dog's tail as we approached the door after a trip out. As you say, didn't matter if it was five minutes or five hours.
DeleteHello Denise :=)
ReplyDeleteI like the unknown author quote, it's so true. Congrats on getting ahead with your Christmas preparations. I haven't started yet!
Hello Sonjia :) Me too, it's a great quote. Thank you, I am happy to be so far ahead this year. Being late is okay :)

DeleteHello, my friend! Happy December!
ReplyDeleteHello to you too my friend and the same to you :)
DeleteHappy December!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sandra :) I wish you the same my friend.
DeleteWell you are rather organised early in the piece, I leave my cards till about mid December, I received one from a friend late November...amazing.
ReplyDeleteYour friend is more organized than I am :)
DeleteWell, I have to say you are FAR ahead of where I am this year! Well done -- you have most of the month to go and maybe will get some R&R in there too!
ReplyDeleteI can live in hope Jeanie :)
DeleteHow wonderful for you to be so ahead of the game this season, Denise!
ReplyDeleteThank you Martha Ellen, I surprised myself :)
DeleteYou certainly are well prepared, Denise! We have the Christmas village done as Patrick worked on it for the past 2 weeks and all the houses are now lit and the villages in place. The entry of our apt is decorated and there is some interior decorating, but less so because the tree wasn't set up this year. There's no room when the village is by the window. I will be writing cards this weekend and the "plan" is to finish as many as possible to get all mailed by the end of this week.
ReplyDeleteThank you Dorothy, and I just say, all your decorations sound so nice :)
DeleteI haven’t done much for Christmas yet, except to buy my cards.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, it is unusual for me to be this prepared :)
DeleteA good pup.
ReplyDeleteHe was indeed :)
