Not a lot today, a little garden art.
The snails reminded me of a quote in my collection which now, because of these photos, I can use.
"Even a snail will eventually reach its destination."
Ms. Tsukiyama is an American novelist born in San Francisco, California, to a Japanese father and a Chinese mother. She attended San Francisco State University, where she received both her Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Master of Arts Degree in English, with an emphasis in creative writing.
I do really love the quote; it is quite suitable especially for me. And this is the cutest snail I have ever seen.
ReplyDeleteGreat Ginny, and this quote fits me exactly :) It was a very cute snail.
DeleteThanks for the smiles. I hope your weekend (and the week to come) is packed with them.
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome Sue. I've had a good weekend thank you and I wish you the same for this weekend and also for the coming week :)
DeleteThe snail certainly will reach it's destination.
ReplyDeleteAlways Margaret :)
DeleteCute snails...I wonder why they have never been as popular as the frog...I like them better! (snails, that is...lol)

Donna
Thank you Donna :) An interesting observation. I like snails but I also like frogs I think this all comes from my father who loved everything in nature and talked to me, when I was old enough to understand, about what we found in the garden. Though he did pick the snails off his prize flowers and placed them elsewhere :) There were places they weren't allowed, lol!
DeleteLove that quote. It's perfect to go along with these cute snails.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great quote, thank you Ann :)
DeleteThat's a well known quote. I love it too. Happy Sunday, Denise.
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful! Thank you Angie and a Happy Sunday to you also :)
DeleteGostei de ver estas belas fotografias.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e bom Domingo.

Fico feliz que você tenha gostado das minhas fotos. Um abraço e um contínuo feliz domingo para você também :)
Deletei am so far from being a snail, the opposite is me. but I do love snails and I do love this snail art. that second one looks like someone made it from a wheel of somekind. a beatuiful garden. I always feel the same way about private owned gardens.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed the snails Sandra :) I agree about the second one. Yes, we can't be too invasive where private property is concerned. I do remember stopping to look at some flowers on another occasion, and a lady saw me and invited me for a quidded walk around her garden. She had an amazing array of flowers, absolutely gorgeous! I was invited to sit for a while, was offered a cup of tea, had a lovely time, a lovely conversation, and another very nice memory!
DeleteCute Snail! Happy Sunday to you...
ReplyDeleteThank you Ellen and the same to you :)
DeleteYes, too bad you didn't get more photos but you found a good quote to go with it.
ReplyDeleteI did indeed, thanks Red :)
DeleteHello Denise. Just running across the ocean from our place to yours. The snail garden art is very cute and a lovely quote to go with it too.

ReplyDeleteHi Elizabeth, he is, isn’t he? :) and I agree, always a joy!
DeleteThat is a terrific snail!
ReplyDeleteI thought so too Jenn, and if I saw one like it, I would snap it up :)
DeleteThe quote is good for me these days! I like the whimsical garden art as well. Happy Sunday--it's a beauty!
ReplyDeleteMe too Martha Ellen, and I always love the whimsy. It certainly is a beautiful day today isn't it? :)

ReplyDeleteThat's great, thank you Christine :)
DeleteNice snail art. Love it!
ReplyDeleteSo glad Gigi, thank you :)
DeleteThe garden art is so cute and heart warming
ReplyDeleteI thought so too Roentare. It's been a while since I saw the photos but finding them again I realized how much I like them even now. Heart warming is a nice turn of phrase. Thank you :)
DeleteWhimsical.
ReplyDeleteVery much so, I am a big fan of whimsical :)
DeleteSo cute and a great quote.

All the best Jan
Thank you Jan and the same to you :)
DeleteI've heard of her and just looked her up. Samurai's Garden sounds very interesting.
ReplyDeleteShe sounds like a very interesting lady Kay. Yes, the books does sound interesting :)
DeleteDarn, the library didn't have it. On the other hand, The Color of Air sounds really awesome since it's about Chicago (where I lived) and Hawaii. Perfect! However, this seems to be a popular book and I've put it on my Hold list. Thank you for this post.
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome and hope you get it soon Kay. I will be keeping an eye open this way.
DeleteA great garden needs garden ornaments and decorations
ReplyDeleteI agree Yogi :) They are always fun to see.
