We left the house a little after 10.00 a.m., saw a few boats in a marina, had a nice lunch at one of the local restaurants, drove around a little and back home by 4.00 p.m. The traffic was heavy on the freeways in parts, but not so bad really. It was all freely flowing.

A QUICK TRIP TO ANNAPOLIS ON THURSDAY, JUNE 8TH, 2023.
These last couple of days have been very hazy, and the air pollution reached a historical high according to the news today. This is from all the fires in Canada which were having an effect in many areas in the States. My sympathy to all our Canadian friends, with a heartfelt wish that these fires will be put out quickly.
Not too many photos on this trip but I will have a few next week. Most were from the passenger side window and it was a hit and miss at times.
I thought this was a lovely sign for St Mary’s Graduates.
So, to borrow such a wonderful sentiment, to all of you out there, have a great weekend and go safely and in peace.

Thank you so for taking the time to leave a comment. I enjoy reading them very much and always try to return a visit. As I do monitor comments it may take a while for them to appear, even quite late depending on what is going on and how much time I am able to spend on the computer.
I appreciate all who look at my blog, but I won't be publishing any businesses. If you are only able to publish anonymously, would you sign your name please, and leave an addy so I can return your visit where possible? Thank you!
I love the photo with the boats and the green dock Shop!!
ReplyDeleteThat's great, it certainly was a lot of fun. Thanks Ginny :)
DeleteLooks like that you had a day :-)
ReplyDeleteWe certainly did, thanks Angie :)
DeleteDespite the haze it looks like a lovely outing. I share your hope for those in Canada affected by the fires.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sue :) and yes, I do hope the fires are lessening up there, for everyone's sake.
DeleteQuite a diverse range of signs to see here
ReplyDeleteThanks Roentare, I missed a few too :)
DeleteEnjoyed seeing your photos. Sounds like you had a nice day
ReplyDeleteSo glad Ann, thank you. It was a very nice day :)
DeleteThe photos are good if taken from inside the car out the window, often the only way sometimes.
ReplyDeleteSaw the smoke on our TV this evening.
Thanks Margaret :) and I'm hoping for the best for those fires. Our skies are blue today but not sure about the airstream. I haven't looked properly yet.
DeleteSuch history! And a nice drive.
ReplyDeletehugs
Donna
Thank you Donna and hugs from me too :)
DeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteThe skies are very hazy here too, I am hoping the skies clear up soon. we could use some rain too. Lunch in Annapolis sounds nice! Take care, enjoy your day and happy weekend to you!
Hello Eileen, I'm trusting your skies have cleared up. We have blue skies today. I hope our Canadian friends are seeing them too.
DeleteThe fires have been rough here.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that William.
DeleteYes, I echo the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteVery much so, thank you Gigi :)
DeleteNature will be needed to put out most of the fires. We need some major rain systems to go through. It is very, very dry here.
ReplyDeleteSorry to know that Red, hope those rains come!
DeleteOur air is better today. I like Annapolis.
ReplyDeleteOurs too, good to know Linda :) It's a nice town isn't it?
DeleteThank you for not complaining about us sending you smoke! So many people are suffering.
ReplyDeleteI would never complain about such things Jenn. When Mother Nature throws a wobbly, there's not much we can do about it. Sad that many are suffering and hope the fires lessen very soon.
DeleteHopefully those fires will be out soon. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHopefully! You have a great weekend also :)
DeleteLovely photos of a place I have yet to visit. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHi Billie Jo, you are very welcome :) It's a fun place to visit, that's for sure.

DeleteLovely sentiment for graduates!
ReplyDeleteVery much so, thanks Ellen :)
DeleteSorry that we are sending smoke down to you. Believe me, we would rather not!
ReplyDeleteNo way we can prevent Mother Nature from having a wobbly. I hope your fires are under control now, for all your sakes :)
