SATURDAY MORNING NOT AT THE BIRD FEEDER - THE TIPSY DUCK

Lesson learned!  He was in the land of Scrumpy, the day was sweltering, ducky was parched.

Next time he is going to ask for a long, icy cold glass of water.  He is not going to look at the duck at the next table and ask, "What's that you're drinking?"  and then say "Scrumpy?  What's that?"

May your wings fly steady and may you have a great day.

Thanks for flying by.

  1. Scrumpy can indeed be powerful. One glass is MORE than enough. Thanks for the smiles.

    1. I've never tried it Sue, my father's warning about it being very strong, was enough and set that seed in stone, even today, lol! Of course, this was a father talking to his young daughter who had just passed 21. Though I don't think they sell Scrumpy in the U.S. Not that I am a great expert on such things.

    1. It was a pet duck who had the run of the gardens at the pub. He also had several companions. Fortunately I had a camera in my hands and was able to capture the moment :)

    1. Oh yes, one very hot day at a wonderful Mexican restaurant that had just opened comes to mind. We were out of town. I ordered a Margarita and it came in a HUGE glass. (I didn’t order a second) It didn’t taste at all alcoholic but when I got outside, well, need I say more? I haven’t had one of those cocktails in a very long time and had a lot of sympathy for our little duck here :)

  18. Denise, When I made my comment here, I hadn't yet seen my comments. Thank you for trying so hard to make a comment. I have three of yours, and several other people commented more than once thinking they had lost their first comment. My comments are moderated, but you may already know this, but since this is happening a lot these days, there maybe another explanation which I am not aware of.So sorry for the inconvenience.

    1. Thank you for letting me know. I remember and what happened was that I kept getting an error message every time I tried to publish. I did not realize it was actually publishing each one. I know of others who have had this issue. A blogger glitch that I hope will be fixed soon, along with the delay in publishing comments and some turning up in our spam folders.
