You will often find me peering outside with camera at the ready. I am waiting for the birds and have to be fast as they don't stay around for long. On this occasion I had the company of a female Cardinal. She was trying to tell me something and I replied...
The idea for this post came to me one day when I was trying to multi-task. I'm not a good multi-tasker, as I have been known to get distracted easily when there is wildlife around.
A quote that tickled my funny bone, as I always enjoyed Daffy Duck and on occasion can relate.
"A fellow with the inventiveness of Albert Einstein but with the attention span of Daffy Duck."
You have a good imagination Denise. I multitask rather well, mostly :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Margaret and I am glad you can multitask. I have to practice :)
DeleteThanks for the smiles. Sometimes I multi-task well. Other days I fail. Badly.
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome Sue, and it depends on the day doesn't it, multitasking? That's what I find any how :)
DeleteYour multitasking for you!!
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you Anni :)
DeleteLove the sweet Cardinal. Your captions are cute! Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat's great, thank you Eileen and you have a happy weekend also :)
DeleteThis is a fun prose to browse through your humorous cartoons and dialogue
ReplyDeleteThank you roentare, I am so glad you enjoyed :)
DeleteI'm pretty good with multitasking.
ReplyDeleteGood for you William, you can teach me :)
DeleteSo funny, Denise! Daffy Duck's voice will now be an earworm in my head today. Multitasking is overrated in my opinion. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou know Martha Ellen, my Dad and I used to watch Saturday morning cartoons when I was a little girl, and I remember him chortling away. He was a great multitasker but unfortunately, I didn't get that gene, lol! Happy weekend to you too :)
DeleteI I loved Daffy duck and his cousin is adorable. I thought this story of mind games was about ME... this is MY LIFE now, my thoughts leaping from one thing to another and my multitask has now become trying to stay on a single task until it is done
ReplyDeleteHappy you enjoyed his cousin Sandra :) Ah yes, you describe me to a 'T'. I try to stay on task but then a bird lands on the rail and well, you know what happens next ;)
DeleteI can also get easily distracted so I can relate.
ReplyDeleteKindred spirits, lovely! :)
DeleteAlways enjoy these bird feeder exchanges, Denise, and I too can be easily distracted at times, especially when the task is not enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteVery happy you do Dorothy, thank you :) That's the crux of the matter isn't it? It really helps when the task is enjoyable!
DeleteWhat a fun conversation! Have a great weekend, Denise.
ReplyDeleteI am happy you enjoyed Angie, and you have a great weekend also :)
DeleteHaha good one.
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine, so glad you had fun with this :)
DeleteYour birds tell another good story.
ReplyDeleteYes, sometimes they are very chatty, but others not so much, and smiling here :) Thanks Red!
DeleteIt's awfully cute! Well done, Denise!
ReplyDeleteHi Jeanie, thank you, much appreciated :)
DeleteOh, such pretty photos of the cardinal, Denise. You know, it is my dream to one day see the red cardinal. The male is spectacular! We don't see them here in California, at least around my neck of the woods. I enjoy your fun talking bird posts, as I also love the birds.
ReplyDelete~Sheri
Hello Sheri, happy you enjoyed and I really hope you get to see a Cardinal one day. They are a beautiful bird. You know, there are many feathered friends I would love to see in your neck of the woods. One of these days I hope to go traveling again, so that I can do a birding journey :)
DeleteYes, there are a few delightful birds up here in the mountains. I just saw the funny Quail cross the street - a trail of them. They usually come in groups. I also see the Robin often on my front yard and the Mourning Doves. In the trees, I see the Woodpecker and the Stellar's Jay, and sometimes at the creek I see the grand Eagle. : )
DeleteWonderful, I remember some of those on my last trip and those are the ones I look forward to see again sometime :) Thanks again Sheri :)
DeleteCute! Thanks for the smile.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda, you are very welcome :)
DeletePiękne fotografie, ptaki są trudnymi modelami zazwyczaj zanim zdążę zrobić fotografię ptak odlatuje 😊 Dobrego tygodnia😊
ReplyDeleteBardzo dziękuję Lucyno. Ptaki nie pozostają w bezruchu zbyt długo, prawda? :)
DeleteLovely post!
ReplyDeleteThank you Anne :)
DeleteWhen I was younger, I was a great multi-tasker but alas, no more. Being a senior I have learned I need to do one thing at a time. Cute post - more pictures please
ReplyDeleteI believe I have the same issue :) and slow and steady wins the race, for me at least :) Thank you Carol, there will be more eventually.
DeleteLovely photos! :)
ReplyDeleteHello Nikki, thank you so much for visiting and welcome to my blog :) I enjoyed yours very much and look forward to going back often.
DeleteDelightful Denise! And delight is more important than it's ever been. Thank you
ReplyDeleteThank you Cloudia, and very true. We need our delights in life don't we? It's how I am when I go visiting :)
DeleteYou and me both on the short attention span!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to know I have a kindred spirit, thanks Rose :)
DeleteAnother one of those bird stories!
ReplyDeleteYes indeed Red :)
