There are many who need to take heed. Just a few days ago I praised my neighbours for something or other and was greeted by astonishment, the neighbour saying that people do not offer thanks or such like. I find this quite appalling. Whatever happened to manners??
Well, you also passed on a kindness to your neighbor in that praise Valerie. I often hope the recipient will also pass it on. I am happy to say I have met several young people lately who have been very polite. Does the heart good.
None of us are perfect William, I may be a little forgetful and remiss myself at times. This is why I like collecting my quotes, they are a good reminder.
I wish some of the younger generation would learn to be polite. Having said that some of the older ones also seem to have forgotten their manners! Have a good day, Diane.
Thank you so for taking the time to leave a comment. I enjoy reading them very much and always try to return a visit. As I do monitor comments it may take a while for them to appear, even quite late depending on what is going on and how much time I am able to spend on the computer.
I appreciate all who look at my blog, but I won't be publishing any businesses. If you are only able to publish anonymously, would you sign your name please, and leave an addy so I can return your visit where possible? Thank you!
Indeed! But sadly, there is not much of it anymore...
ReplyDeleteit is an art...
DeleteHi Ginny, maybe we can get it to catch on again, I live in hope.
DeleteHi Sandi, it certainly is.
DeletePoliteness is increasingly under rated these days it often seems, and can make difficult moments much better.
ReplyDeleteTrue EC, very true.
DeleteSo true!
ReplyDeleteAnother kindred spirit :) Thanks Lady Fi.
