Playing with these photos in Paint Shop Pro and liking this effect, I tried it on several of my photographs. I will share the originals and identify the birds at a later date.
I don't often mention current events on this blog, I know they often make us all very sad. I want this to be a blog where people can come in peace, and forget what's going on out there for a couple of minutes. I am aware of what is going on in the US and the rest of the world. Everything we get is instantaneous these days isn't it? So please don't think I don't care, I truly do.
All that being said those who are in the path of this latest hurricane Florence heading for the Carolina's, I send you all my thoughts and prayers. I will be following the news like many others.
You did have fun playing didn't you? Thank you for sharing the magic.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, my thought are most definitely with those in Florence's path.
I did and you are more than welcome. Thank you for your thoughts EC.
DeleteI like the effect you achieved with the photos, Denise. Please may I join you in prayers for those affected my the threatening hurricane. Some of us don't realise how lucky we are to live in hurricane free areas.
ReplyDeleteThanks Valerie and thank you. I read where a lady was waist deep in water in her house and heading up to the attic.
DeleteHello, I love these artsy bird images. Very cute. Happy Friday, enjoy your day and weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you Eileen and the same to you.
DeleteI do the same thing, no current news on mine either. these are amazing shots and I like this edit a lot. I have paint on computer but never could use it. but yours is pro not just the one that comes in the windows 10.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandra, good to know your thoughts also.
DeleteYou are having fun with paint shop pro. However, keep your eye on the ball when it comes to current events Be informed.
ReplyDeleteGood advice Red and Gregg and I keep up with what is going on and have daily discussions. Very important to see what is going on, I agree.
DeleteI like the way you've transformed your photos of your garden birds into works of art. They're beautiful and would look good framed. I'm also thinking and praying for those in the path of this latest and threatening hurricane. I hope everyone stays safe and spared from devastating situations.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda and listening to what is going on down there. The North Carolina Governor said it is being considered a once in every thousand years flooding event in eastern NC.
DeleteBeautifully done!
ReplyDeleteThank you William!
DeleteI like what you did with these! Very artistic.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lois, that makes me happy.
DeleteThese are lovely!
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine, so glad you enjoyed.
DeleteHi Denise,
ReplyDeleteWonderful work on the images, really beautiful.
I think I recognise a Blue Jay and Northern Cardinal {this being a real favourite of mine.
So sorry for the poor people in the midst of the Hurricane, then they have the clean up in the aftermath.
All the best, John
Thank you John, you guessed correctly. I will share them again with the ID. Let's hope those caught in this hurricane get plenty of help. In any of these disasters people always seem to open their hearts and pitch in with an amazing spirit.
DeleteI think these are all lovely, love the effect you got.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts and prayers go to all those affected by the threatening hurricane.
All the best Jan
Thank you so much Jan.
DeleteThat effect works well, really shows up the detail on the birds. We are hearing the news about that horrid hurricane and also Typhoon Mangkhut in the Phillipines with 5 million people in its path. So many people living with the unknown right now. They are in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteThank you Pauline. I have heard of several hurricanes in play right now and the people in the Philippines will also be in my thoughts and prayers.
DeleteThese photos look like old illustrations--so pretty. I try not to editorialize on my blog as well. The news is sad and of course I don't think any of us ignore it! Have a lovely weekend. ♥
ReplyDeleteThank you Martha Ellen. I appreciate these comments very much.
DeleteNow isn't playig with our photographs such fun. You have made wonderful images from them. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is Margaret and thank you. Have a great weekend also.
DeleteI believe you showed some similar birds on a previous blog post minus the special effects, Denise, which are very cool. Like yourself, I also shy away from commenting on current U.S. and world events current and politics in my blog posts. Of course, this doesn't mean that we don't care. The devastation from Hurricane Florence is truly heartbreaking and we all truly care.
ReplyDeleteThanks Beatrice, yes these were in a previous post, all except one. I will be sharing many more photos as time goes on. Thank you for your comments on me not usually posting current events.
