Sorry, nothing that exciting, just mushrooms in the grass that reminded me of a few B movies I watched in my youth.
I found them in the front of the house we were staying at in Corolla.
One crash landed!
Another hiding in the tall grass.
They came in peace. No longer able to fly again, except in my imagination.

I hope so Albert, I hope so. What say you?
We have this kind around here, but I don't have near the cool and fanciful imagination that you have. I love it. Now whenever I see mushrooms, I will always think of spaceships.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ginny, these things pop into my head sometimes ;)
DeleteImagination is a wonderful thing :-) We have flying saucers here as well at the moment LOL. Have a great weekend Diane
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear it Diane, you have a great weekend too.
DeleteBeautiful photos, Denise! I took a lovely walk in a park yesterday and came across some mushrooms in the grass! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda, and how nice you found some on your walk :)
DeleteThey do look like an alien invasion - and I hope that Einstein was right here as he was about so many things.
ReplyDeleteMe too EC :)
Deletefun post!
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine :)
Deleteouch...who took a bite of the mushroom LOL
ReplyDeleteWho indeed? ;) LOL
DeleteIt is interesting to see those mushrooms under the sunlight were taken different angles.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend.
Thank you Tomoko, a good weekend to you also.
DeleteThis is the time of year to make a feast of edible wild mushrooms. Earlier this week I picked enough honey mushrooms to blend them into a sauce with dry sherry, sour cream, parmesan cheese, butter, salt, pepper and dill. It was wonderful with grilled chicken and zucchini fritters. Too bad they don't last a little longer!
ReplyDeleteSounds delicious David. I am glad you can identify mushrooms with confidence. The field mushrooms I remember from our old greengrocer back in my childhood, the taste of them was beyond comparison.
Deletethank you for the smiles, I love it, they do look like space ships and my mind started adding doors and little green men... super shots of these mushrooms, I love the crash landed one, the sharp blades of grass and the blurred space ship. great post
ReplyDeleteYou give me many Sandra, I am happy to pay you back with mine :) I should have added a few little green men :)))
DeleteThey certainly do have that look.
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteIt does appear that the saucers have landed ;-)
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteLike the space-ship thought, but I think they are like little people with huge hats wading through the grass! (Am I intelligent due to my imagination, then? According to Einstein. :-) )
ReplyDeleteI like the huge hats wading through the grass :) well, we must be according to Einstein. He had a lot of wise quotes.
DeleteThey do get the imagination going. I think we need both...knowledge and imagination.
ReplyDeleteAgreed :)
DeleteCute post.
ReplyDeleteThank you Gigi:)
DeleteAren't mushrooms amazing, all the different types.
ReplyDeleteI do like your photographs here - and your storyline - great post.
All the best Jan
They certainly are, thank you Jan and the same to you :)
DeleteWe have loads of mushrooms - huge ones too!
ReplyDeleteThat time of the year, I always enjoy seeing them :)
DeleteMushroom season coming up here Denise, woodlands will soon be full of them.
ReplyDeleteSounds great!
DeleteDenise, wild mushrooms make wonderful subjects. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome Doug and they certainly are wonderful subjects.
DeleteDenise we did cover the apple pie with foil in the last 10 minutes and it seemed to make a difference. So bake at 425F for 15 mins, then 350F for 35-45 mins, wrap with foil in the last 10 minutes.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Christine. I look forward to making it :)
DeleteI agree mushrooms are such intriguing objects, or should I say flying saucers!
ReplyDeleteWren x
They certainly are :)
Deleteuh oh the space ships have landed in your front yard! Happy Autumn -- I like seeing mushrooms, but of course I don't have a lawn to worry about any more... don't even remember if they are a good sign or not .
ReplyDeleteHappy Autumn Sallie, I like mushrooms to look at and to eat, though I prefer choosing my edibles from the supermarket :)
