We have just returned from a week down in the Outer Banks in North Carolina, and have been following the news on Hurricane Irma for several days. To everyone we know, and to those we don't know in Florida, you will be very much in our thoughts. We're praying that you all stay safe.
Prayers for Florida! I hope your Outer Banks trip was fun. Happy Sunday, enjoy your day and new week ahead!
ReplyDeleteThanks Eileen, they need all oru prayers. I will be posting about our trip starting next Tuesday. Happy day and happy week to you :)
DeleteIrma has been really bad news following up on the Texas problems and now also the earthquake in Mexico. Our friend in the BVI says it is total devastation, while our friends on Nevis thankfully seem to be OK. Have a good week Diane
ReplyDeleteYes it all seems to be coming at once doesn't it? I have also been reading about the earthquake in Mexico. My heart goes out to everyone. Have a good week too Diane and thank you.
Deleteditto - mother nature sure is angry!!
ReplyDeleteShe sure is, hope she calms down soon for everyone's sake.
DeleteYes, praying for family, friends and all those we don't know who need help at this critical time!
ReplyDeleteVery much so Marie.
DeleteThis one's a bad one.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is William.
DeleteScary times for so many. My heart is with them.
ReplyDeleteMine also EC, yes it is very scary.
DeleteI have a lot of relatives in Miami, they are without power right now I think.
ReplyDeleteI hope they get their electricity back soon Christine, but I have heard on the news it might take days to get it back. I will be thinking of them too.
DeleteIt is so awful! I am glued to the T.V. The news channels have sent their reporters down there, and they are being blown away. Not good.
ReplyDeleteMe too, I see it's over Naples on the west coast of Florida right now. Hope those news reporters know when it's a good time to take cover.
DeleteWe all wish the best to everyone affected by the hurricanes. Every credible study that I have seen predicts that within thirty years at most much of this area will be under water or at the very least susceptible to serious and frequent flooding. One can only hope (although I suspect it is a vain hope) that people will not just go ahead and rebuild in this area, for they will surely be faced with this situation again.
ReplyDeleteThank you David, I have read and heard similar stories about the rising water levels. I hear the same thing about Venice.
DeleteIrma has been doing a lot of devastation! I am keeping those affected in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteVery much needed and appreciated Linda.
DeleteI have been watching some...just anxious and cannot imagine living through it.
ReplyDeleteMe neither Rose. Can't stop thinking of everyone down there right now.
DeleteIt is a terrible natural disaster. I hope everyone stays safe and I feel sorry for them when they have to repair the damage. My nephew lives in the Caribbean on St Lucia, but luckily his island missed the worst of it.
ReplyDeleteI agree and good to hear your nephew is okay.
DeleteAmen to that!
ReplyDeleteYes indeed.
