Thank you to both memes for getting me to pay more attention to interesting fencing (and gates) and beautiful skies. The first four photos are from Oahu.
A private residence captured while driving by, same photo but I cropped to bring out more detail in the gate.
This is the Aloha Tower in Honolulu....
and this is my first sighting of Kauai from the plane.
I will be linking with Good Fences and SkyWatch Friday as they become available, with my thanks to our hosts. You can click on their names below to visit other participants.
Truly lovely.
ReplyDeleteNice gates and fences in Hawaii. Its exciting seeing land appear from the plane window.
ReplyDeleteA good collection of photo's here Denise, the third one is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteHave a Happy Thursday - don't know where the week is dis-appearing - but it is certainly going quickly.
All the best Jan
Hello Denise, pretty fences and a lovely gate. I love the view looking up at the tower. Great sky shot. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteGreat artwork with the leaves and beautiful photos of your travel.
ReplyDeleteMost I like the last picture.
Have a nice time
the first is grand and i really like the big leafy gate!
ReplyDeleteClassy
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting and beautiful gate. I like the shot of the tower. I too take more notice of gates and fences these days, thanks to Theresa. :-)
ReplyDeleteI really liked those gates with the large palm leaves on them! Lovely views of the island, Denise, thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeletethat is one gorgeous gate with the leaves on it and i love that looking up tower
ReplyDeleteLove that gate with the leaves! WOW!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Beautiful!
ReplyDeletewow, those are really beautiful! love your sky shot too!
ReplyDeleteThat gated housing around the island is really pricey. Very litttle open beach left on Oahu when we lived there, and I suspect the outer islands have suffered the same fate.
ReplyDeleteThere is an attractiveness to these gates..no doubt about it. However, I'm from the wide open grain growing prairies. There are very few fences. Fences are thought of as a nuisance! Just tellin' ya!
ReplyDeleteIt's that bas relief gate that really catches my eye.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful gates ... lovely sky pics. Today our sky is grey and overcast. It creates a lovely background for the red berries of the mountain ash tree in our yard. Makes the red really pop out.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a beautiful day...
Brenda
Oh that gate with the palm branches is fabulous. - You captured some nice, dramatic looking skies too.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful!
ReplyDeletefantastic leafy gate.

ReplyDeleteGreat fences ( a bit unique too) and gorgeous sky shots!
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend to you ~ ^_^
I love it when expensive homes decorate their gates rather than just a blank.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of tropical fences and gates ! Thanks for sharing , have a good day !
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky.
ReplyDeleteSydney – City and Suburbs

ReplyDeleteI went to Kauai once. Such an amazing place!

Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteHello Denise!:) Well spotted gates, both very attractive in their own way. The one with the leaves is the most unusual, and quite lovely.
ReplyDeleteOrnaments for the gate...amazing aspects through your lens!!
ReplyDeleteBest regards in february!
