MEMORIES OF SPRING FLOWERS

I find myself looking forward to a spring walk at Meadowlark Gardens. I was leafing through my flower photos this past week and found these.

The flower bed around the fountain outside the visitor center, changes each season. This was one of my favorite displays, surrounded by the most beautiful tulips. A marker said their names were Angelique, Blue Spectacle and Yellow Mountain.

There was a whole carpet of these pretty flowers.

The photo below shows the same flower that I have in one of my collages above.

I am looking forward to everything turning green again with all the spring flowers blooming.

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend.

  3. Beautiful flowers, Denise. My Columbine's didn't flower this year, too much growth in the leaves I expect.

  6. We’re now into the second half of January so spring is a little closer, and I already notice the days getting a little longer. Perhaps the snowdrops will emerge early this year.

  8. Dear Denise
Thank you for sharing all these beautiful blooms. The flowers around the fountain are gorgeous. and so is the first photo of the Measowlark Gardens. Solomons Seal grows in my garden near the pond, and I have had great difficulty in taking a good photo because the flowers grow so low to the ground and the leaves tend to get in the way, but thank you so much for the ID which I didn't know.
    All the best
    Sonjia.

    1. Hello dear Sonjia :) How are you feeling today? Much better I hope! You are very welcome, always happy to bring a smile. How lovely you grow Solomon’s Seal. I have the same difficulty taking photos these days. I try to ID each flower when I am not too rushed with other things. I am glad they help. All the best to you too and thank you, Denise

  11. Gorgeous. The dogwoods grow wild here. I have A LOT of them. Migrating birds assault them every autumn.

  21. Hi Denise… I loved your Spring memories and hope the season is a both a good one and an early one this year for you … your flower photos remind me how we used to look through seed and garden catalogs during the rainy winter months back in the years when we gardened. …I have a new blog home finally after a technical disaster and look forward to catching up now that I’m back.
