"Teaching Your Child Through Play"
I tried to teach my child with books
He gave me only puzzled looks.
I tried to teach my child with words.
They passed him by often unheard.
Despairingly, I turned aside.
"How shall I teach this child?" I cried.
Into my hand he put the key,
"Come," he said, "play with me."

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Sometimes you just don't think of the simplest things... playing!
ReplyDeleteThis post is so cool and funny!
You're so funny, and you've made an important message out of it!
hugs Elke
The only play kids are interested in these days is their phone....when I was kid, we played outside with neighbours' kids and I don't think I have ever owned any dolls or toys...nature was our playground.
ReplyDeleteA very cute poem, and true!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Playing with kids teaches them sharing, patience, fairness, respecting differences, just so much!
ReplyDeleteOh that is a very cute poem, Denise :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute poem that is. Play is a great way to sharpen the imagination
ReplyDeleteIt is great fun to teach children through play, and you are given a great excuse to do all manner of silly things!
ReplyDeleteMy first post of the morning. Nice one.
ReplyDeletePlaying is good for adults also.
ReplyDeleteThis one is lovely.
ReplyDeleteFun! Have a great day playing with whatever comes your way, Denise.
ReplyDeleteDear Denise :)
ReplyDeleteSo true! A sweet poem and the drawings are cute.
This is an excellent point. I also am saddened by the fact children don't play like they used to. My son is Gen X and I think they were the last to have what I will call a normal childhood.
