BIRDS IN ART

"Everyone likes birds. What wild creature is more accessible to our eyes and ears, as close to us and everyone in the world, as universal as a bird?"

  1. How lovely! And I love David Attenborough. I try to watch every single show he has ever done. He has done so much for the preservation of nature and the earth.

  2. That is a lovely illustration of the birds and flowers. Is it AI? The David Attenborough quote is meaningful to me. I started birdwatching on camping trips with family as a child. My dad would say "get Roger Tory", our Roger Torey Peterson bird book.

    1. Hi Terra and thank you :) I am not sure if the picture is AI. I found it on Pinterest. You must have lots of lovely memories from your childhood. I am going to have to find out more about this gentleman. Thanks for the introduction.

  4. I was a person who did not like birds, fearful of them my whole life, until in 2004 I bought a Rebel DSLR camera and went out in the preserves with my friend Diane, who was an avid birder. At first I looked down and she looked Up, she taught me about birds and I taught her to look at things in nature not alive. I ended up loving birds and lost the fear of them

  5. Words from my hero of heroes. He is going to be a hundred years old in May. The world will lose one of its true giants when he goes. He has been a major inspiration in my life.

    1. Yes indeed :) and I knew someone who was deathly afraid of birds. She had a phobia about them sadly.
