FLOWERS AND QUESTIONS

Here is another quiz for you from the book I mentioned in my post here last month.

1.  What American-born man became Prime Minister and President of Ireland?

2. What American became Prime Minister of Israel?

3. How did Douglas "Wrong-Way" Corrigan get his nickname?

4.  Where is Judge Crater?

I will have the answers tomorrow.

  1. I am awful at history, and don't know the answer to any of these. The flower is so sweet, wonder how it got it's name?

    1. I know what you mean Ginny :) I have always enjoyed history though and did not know all these answers. But it's fun to learn. I am going to look back and see if I can find an answer to your question.

  2. Haven't got a clue, going to look the answers up.
    1. Éamon de Valera
    2. Benjamin Netanyahu
    3. He was nicknamed "Wrong Way" in 1938. After a transcontinental flight from Long Beach, California, to New York City, he flew from Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn, New York, to Ireland, though his flight plan was filed to return to Long Beach.
    4. Obviously he's dead but where they thought his body was, it wasn't there - so haven't got a clue.
