A VISIT TO NOTRE DAME CATHEDRAL IN 2014

À vaillant coeur rien d’impossible.
~Jacques Cœur~

“For a valiant heart nothing is impossible.”

In 2014, I was in Paris and had the blessing of seeing Notre Dame Cathedral with my own eyes.  The tragedy of the fire affected me deeply.

This is my humble tribute to Notre Dame, to Parisiennes everywhere, to the people of France.

"And just as the Phoenix rose from
The ashes, she too will rise,
Returning from the flames clothed
In nothing but her strength,
More beautiful than ever before.

    1. Yes Diane, she'll be back. We will just hope that it is the 5 years that President Macron says. I hope so.

  5. I think it will take longer than five years to rebuild but I hope I am wrong. I just feel that so much beauty needs to take its time.

    1. Me too Valerie, but I do hope so. Yes, definitely it needs to be given the tender loving care that such an old and treasured structure needs in the rebuilding.

  7. A wonderful tribute.

I have never seen her with my own eyes, but seeing the fire, it hurt in the way it hurts when you lose a loved one.
