HELLO BEAUTIFUL!

While out shopping the other day after we parked the car, I was in the passenger seat about to get out and right next to me were two eyes staring intently, following my every move.  She gave me a big smile and was very well behaved.  I didn't get too close.  She remained silent and curious, and was still there when we came out of the store.  I noticed the back window was open an inch or two.  It was a chilly day but I expect she was comfortable, with the warmth of the sun coming through the glass. No danger of her getting too hot while her humans were away shopping at this time of the year.  There are also distractions to stop from getting too bored, posing for photographs for the lady cooing at her.  Hold on, is this my best side?  It certainly is, you are beautiful!
"Dogs do speak but only to those who know how to listen."
~Orhan Pamuk, author of My Name is Red~

We have company coming soon, so might be a bit late visiting you.  I will be catching up as soon as I can.

  1. She is beautiful! It always tickles me to see a dog in a parked car...providing the weather is not too hot or cold.

    1. Me too Ginny, and she seemed happy but looking beyond me for her humans to come back I think :)

  2. Soft brown eyes, a cold damp nose and a wagging tail are the way to your heart aren't they? An unerring path.

  5. Beautiful is right, Denise. Wishing she was mine but the good old days of dog ownership are over for me. Thankful for the cat, though. He keeps me on my toes, so to speak!

    1. I feel that way too Valerie, but keep saying to myself never say never :) It's lovely that you have your kitty to keep you on your toes :)

  6. Ohhhh she is beautiful.

But still, I'd not leave an animal of mine, in a car, in any weather. No matter how a pet wants to go, it has to be more comfortable for them, at home, in their crate. Crate = Happy, Safe place.

    My view.... :-) My view....

Enjoy your company! And be sure not to stress, a bit! :-))))

    1. I know how you feel, with my little dog we never did, but hers was because she really hated being in the car at any time. She had been abused and it took us long time for her to trust us, but the car never was a place we could take her, so no trips to the beach, only to places we could walk to.

  8. I have had animals all my life and I so miss their company now. We want to travel though when we can and it is not fair to keep putting them in kennels. Lovely photo. Take care, Diane

    1. I grew up with lots of furry friends around me, I do miss them now but like you we do a fair bit of traveling. I always said when we stop flying overseas, or flying anywhere, we will have a fur-baby only if we can take her along.

Wonderful images of this delightful and well behaved dog.
I agree totally with the words of Orhan Pamuk.

  10. I think it is against the law to leave a dog in a car in some states...thinking someone said it is in Indiana. Or maybe it is just in some cities. Anyway, I used to always take mine in the winter...but not in summer. And have met one or two wonderful dogs of people that had theirs with them.

    1. That's interesting Rose. I don't think they have that law in Virginia. I seem to see a lot of dogs left in cars, usually outside supermarkets.

  11. What a beautiful dog, Denise. I hope the owner didn't leave him too long. Winter or not, I worry about unattended animals left in a vehicle. We should be more like England and allow them inside of stores! ♥

    1. I hope so too Martha Ellen and yes it is always worrying. I have seen a few stores where dogs are aloud over here, but mostly in pet places.
