I knew about "The lady with the lamp" part. She was sure an amazing woman, especially for those times.
She was indeed Ginny. I grew up with stories about her.
so did I.
It is nice to know she is recognized. I actually grew up with stories in books and on TV about her.
She would certainly know the value of life and how it shouldn't be squandered.
I agre wholeheartedly Kay :)
Florence's life wasn't small - by any standards.
It certainly wasn't EC :)
Hello, the image and quote are lovely. So true! Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!
Thank you Eileen and the same to you.
I love that quote and agree with it wholeheartedly.
Thanks Jimmy :)
A beautiful image and quotation, Denise, and good to be reminded of this. I hope you have a great week!
Thank you Linda, you too :)
I know all about this quote being true, Bob has had several brushes with death in the past few months and I am so thankful for days of living for both of us
I am very thankful that you and Bob are doing a whole lot better. When you have been through something like that, every day is a blessing. Happy Birthday Sandra :)
I am not familiar with that quote, but a book about Florence Nightingale was one of the first 'big' books I read. LOL
How interesting Rose :) No, I hadn't heard that quote before either.
A wonderful quote.
Thank you :)
