WE PACKED OUR BAGS, LOADED UP THE CAR AND....

started a cross-country road trip this morning.  We have been sowing the seeds for a while, this trip being way down on the priority list, but today was the day.  The house is taken care of thanks to our son and daughter-in-law, and a very nice lady in the neighborhood.  We are on our way.

For several miles we drove the Blue Ridge Parkway, and stopped for a few photos.

We probably didn't get the most perfect overlook shots and maybe if we had stayed on the parkway longer....

but we were happy with what we took.

We ended up at The Natural Bridge, and I will share photos from there in my next post.  It has been a long day and we are ready for sleep.  Until next time.....

    1. Hi Ginny, and thank you. An album sounds like an excellent idea. I never realized you lived closer to the Natural Bridge. For some reason I thought you were more near Front Royal. Well we will have to meet up one of these days. I look forward to it.

  13. Hooray for a holiday!

And also hooray for the fact, that you have people, seeing to your home. I always dislike it, when people blog that they are going away. But don't mention anyone will be taking care of home. Good for you.

    Happy Spring,

    1. Thank you Jeannette, I promise I will be sharing lots of photos. Might be a bit slow coming though because when we get to the hotel at night after a day of traveling, and site-seeing, my thought processes are a little stunted :)
